GUIDE ON NGARE SERIAN IN KENYA
Walking across a steel-rope bridge with the Mara River rushing below you is only the beginning of your adventurous African safari experience at Ngare Serian. Set within 4000 acres of private land, the camp offers an intimate and private hideaway for discerning guests especially honeymooners who desire an upscale bush accommodation. With only 4 boutique tents, AfricanMecca lodgers can also reserve the camp on an exclusive basis for the utmost privacy and immersion amidst the remote bush of Kenya. The superb service of the staff, delectable food and exceptional location are complemented by the lavish and ultra-comfortable guest tents. Each tent is bathed in rich colors, such as honey-gold wood flooring and furnishings, chocolate brown and crisp white curtains and subtle hints of jewel tones. The bed is well-placed to give you views from the moment you wake up until you quietly fall asleep to the sounds and scents of East Africa. A small writing desk, bench, small daybed, sofas and other small pieces make you feel right at home during your outback holiday travel in the private Mara North Conservancy! The spacious en-suite bathroom features a dual vanity with mirrors, shower and flush toilet. Integrated with the bathroom deck is also a stone bath. Your tent is built upon an elevated solid-wood deck that includes a shady private verandah from which you observe the hippos and other animals at the river. All of the luxury tents are well-placed on the property to maximize views and privacy, but some are more secluded that others. The gentle touch of warm sunlight stirs you from sleep. A soft voice of your butler and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and tea fully awaken your senses. You walk onto your private verandah and sip the delicious warm beverage as you imagine a day of spectacles during your personalized trip to Masai Mara National Reserve. Soon you join your guide and travel across the vast savannah in search of creatures large and small. Elephant mothers interact with their playful calves, gazelles prance across the plains and hippos submerge their enormous bodies in the chocolate-brown waters of the Mara River. All of this and more awaits you during your morning game drive. You guide instinctively knows the superlative locations, and you relax in the comfort of custom-designed safari vehicle, taking in as much of the scenery as possible. Your experience is further enhanced with the breathtaking scenes of the Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration that occurs from July to October. As your hunger builds, your guide finds a perfect place for a bush breakfast. Should you prefer the company of other guests, an appetizing breakfast is also available at Ngare Serian. The excitement and non-stop action of the game drive have spent your energy, so you return to your tent for a nap, light reading and more wildlife observation from your verandah. An excellent lunch gives you energy for an afternoon of bush walking, fishing, Maasai village visits, meeting new friends and writing in your travel journal. After a lovely cup of tea, return to the bush for even more exploration and discovery. Twilight brings out nocturnal creatures and different fauna behaviors, so it seems that your sunset tour of Kenya’s bush country is an entirely different world. Enjoy a favorite safari tradition with sundowners before a delicious dinner and conversation around a campfire while gazing into the immense Kenyan skies. AfricanMecca Safaris can also arrange adventure fly camping and hot air balloon safaris during your wilderness vacation in Kenya.
