UMBWE TREK COSTS & ROUTE ITINERARY FOR KILIMANJARO

UMBWE ROUTE SUMMARY FOR YOUR CLIMB WITH UHURU TRAILS BY AFRICANMECCA

For those who are superbly fit and well-acclimatized, Umbwe Route offers a Kilimanjaro climbing challenge like no other. Little frequented and breathtakingly beautiful, it is an African mountain vacation to be treasured. Because of its justifiable reputation as shortest, most unspoiled and most difficult route up Tanzania’s shining mountain, Uhuru Trails by AfricanMecca takes an extra day to ensure the most enjoyment and the maximum acclimatized chance to attain the summit via Umbwe. However, it is not a route we would recommend even for the fitter climbers unless you will like to acclimatize yourself on Mount Meru. Trekkers have tried to tackle the Umbwe trail in only three days to Karanga, instead of the safer four, but many have made themselves ill in doing so, and very few have succeeded in reaching Uhuru Peak without problems. Kilimanjaro is not a mountain to be rushed. It is to be savored and treated with great respect. Uhuru Trails by AfricanMecca have an acclimatize Kilimanjaro trip for Umbwe, giving you an extra day on the southern slopes to embrace the ambience of primal tropical forest, precipitous ridges and towering, snow-encrusted mountain peaks
