KILIMANJARO SUMMIT SUCCESS GUIDE

How To Successfully Trek & Summit Mt. Kilimanjaro? Scroll Down For Details..

STRATEGIES TO SUCCESSFULLY SUMMIT KILIMANJARO

Trekking to the roof of Africa can be a glorious, triumphant achievement that can color the rest of your life with self-confidence and pride. Or it can be an ordeal or even an abject failure. You will spend a large sum of money on your ambition to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. It is only common sense to make as sure as you can that your money is not wasted and your experience is as enjoyable as possible.

Admittedly, it is not entirely in your hands, but you can certainly lay down the groundwork to give yourself the best start possible. With Uhuru Trails by AfricanMecca, you can be sure of expert advice and seamless organization from people who know their mountain and care about you.

The main reason people fail to summit is ignorance. You need to know exactly what you are letting yourself in for, to be absolutely certain of what you want and that you can realistically achieve it. You need to know yourself, your expectations and your limits, and learn as much as you can about Mt. Kilimanjaro, what it offers and what it demands. If you really only want to experience the different zones and wildlife of Kilimanjaro and to enjoy the superlative views, you need not subject yourself to the discipline necessary for a summit attempt, but simply enjoy limited mountain hikes at different altitudes.

This is sensible, not only for you, but for AfricanMecca, who can count another satisfied customer rather than a failed conqueror of Kilimanjaro mountain. You can enjoy the mountain rather than fighting it to the death.

First of all, assess your own capabilities and limitations and choose the route best suited to your preparedness and overall level of fitness. Your physician will warn you if you have breathing or vascular problems that would make a summit attempt inadvisable. Uhuru Trails by AfricanMecca also reserve the right to inform you if we feel you are not fit to climb the mountain. You can certainly enjoy the mountain if you intend to scale the peak, as long as you are well prepared and know exactly what to expect. It makes sense to maximize your personal fitness well in advance of your African mountainous trek.

On Kilimanjaro, you will be hiking for an average of six hours a day, for around seven to eight days depending on the route and acclimatization buffer. There are six possible routes of varying degrees of severity over terrain that varies from forest mud to steep ridges, rocky tors, snow fields, and loose, frozen scree.

Uhuru Trails by AfricanMecca are committed to your enjoyment and satisfaction and we will advise you realistically on the best route and season to trek and level of difficulty for you. But it is easy for anyone to overlook the real obstacle to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. This is not fitness, determination, nor mental attitude. It is the question of appropriate acclimatization. Gaining height too quickly can cause blood and tissue changes that will make you ill. Uhuru Trails have strategic and responsible routes for enhanced acclimatization and ever-increasing summit success. You cannot put yourself in better hands.
