What We Like About Serengeti Sametu Camp
- Serengeti Sametu Camp is a deluxe accommodation that offers a balance between quality and quantity.
- The camp has a special tent for families and the staff is great with children, providing extra attention when needed.
- The tents are good sized and clean, and the beds are comfortable for enjoying a good night of sleep — or laying awake listening to the sounds of African wildlife in the bush.
- The area is known for its big cat populations, as well as a variety of resident species year-round and the Great Migration twice each year.
- The chef prepares excellent food, especially for a mid-range accommodation, and the staff are warm, friendly, and well-versed in guest hospitality.
Things To Note When Staying At Serengeti Sametu Camp
- With only 12 guest tents, Serengeti Sametu Camp tends to fill quickly, especially during peak season — we recommend booking the property at least 12 to 18 months in advance.
- Serengeti Sametu Camp does not have special activities for families and offers only game drives as your primary activity due to the central location. Optional balloon safaris can be added on your stay.
- This is not a premier, upscale accommodation and may not meet the desires of guests looking for an ultra luxury bush experience.
- The camp charges extra for drinks and laundry.
- Serengeti Sametu Camp is not ideal accommodation to stay in if you are self-driving to the camp location on your own.
