GUIDE ON MARA NGENCHE SAFARI CAMP IN KENYA

Navigation Tip - Go Directly To Prices, Reviews, Map, Photos, Video & Room Rate Guide For Mara Ngenche Safari Camp

Concealed by lush green woodland, in a secluded niche in the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve is a small luxury camp, the Mara Ngenche Safari Camp. Sitting beside the meeting point of two rivers, the Mara and Talek Rivers, the camp offers AfricanMecca guests traveling in the plains of Kenya, a scenic vantage point so they can view the steady stream of thirsty wildlife visitors to the waters' edge. Crocodiles eye them patiently, watching for one careless move while hippos claim ownership of the area with loud snorts. Arrive at the camp on your authentic African tour, and you will enter a world that is a distinct synthesis between the time when the early explorers arrived in Kenya and exquisite Maasai decor. This amalgamation is reflected in the plush sofas and unusual, carved center tables of the lounge cum bar and decor of the dining area and tented rooms. 10 boutique tents await your stay while you bush holiday in Masai Mara Reserve. Each river view tent has either a king size bed or two queen-sized beds with four posters supporting the mosquito curtains draped over them (read more on where else to stay in Masai Mara on your Kenyan safari). If needed, the tent with the double bed can include a third single bed. Though made of canvas, the tents have large mesh windows that you can cover with canvas flaps or white curtains for privacy. The tents also include colonial-themed easy chairs, a footstool and settee on the end of the bed along with a dresser that doubles as a writing desk. Enjoy open air showers screened by bamboo or canvas or an al fresco bath in the standalone bathtub, and should you need seclusion, simply drop the canvas screens or draw the curtains. The bathroom next to your room has twin basins, bathrobes and quality toiletries for your use and you can also enjoy a soak in the exclusive plunge pool adjacent to your tent.

Prepare to be charmed by the delicious meals with their tasteful presentation that are served to you. Have your breakfast and lunch attended in the open air with views of the river while intimate dinners are arranged for you and your companions in the dining tent. Vegetarian options are available, and wines and alcoholic drinks are offered with your meals. You can also request an optional champagne breakfast to complement your sensational balloon safari where you can have a bird's eye perspective as you waft with the breeze over the glorious Masai Mara plains. Spend your safari vacation in Kenya on game drives where you can view some of the enchanting 450 species of birds and an incredible variety of mammals including the Big Five of Africa alongside resident and migratory fauna including zebras, wildebeests, gazelles to stalking predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and more. AfricanMecca ensures a custom-fitted safari vehicle is available to you and the experienced Maasai guide aboard dialogs in detail about the wildlife you see and the inexplicable wonder of the Great Migration in the Masai Mara every year from July through October. Explore the essence of the land through senses of touch, smell, sight and sound as you go on bush walks in wild Kenya and learn about the art of medicine making from your naturalist guide at Mara Ngenche Camp. But your cultural trip to East Africa would not be complete without an invited tour of the local Maasai village for an informative and in-depth look into their traditional way of life.
