PLANET LODGE IN ARUSHA
Before setting off for your African safari tour in Northern Tanzania, you may opt to stay at Planet Lodge -- a pronounced, unpretentious base to spend some time and explore the city of Arusha. This pleasing Arusha accommodation has 12 guest chalets, and each chalet is split into two rooms for individual stays. AfricanMecca guests may choose from single, double, twins or triple rooms, and rates vary based on the season. Inside the rooms, large windows provide stunning views of Mount Meru or the inviting swimming pool. The simple rondavel design of the lodge is sourced from natural stone with a gray plaster finish, hard wood timber and corrugated roof sheets while the décor highlights the craftsmanship and artistry of the local peoples. The rooms are decently sized and clean with all of the necessary modern conveniences, such as electricity, mosquito net, desk with chair and an alarm clock for your wake-up call service. The en-suite full bathroom has hot and cold running water, shower and flush toilet for freshening up after a day trip into Arusha, and an in-room massage service relaxes the mind and body. The restaurant offers palatable local and fused international meals, and the homespun pasta is quite a treat! The bar features a selection of wines, beer and spirits to enjoy while relaxing in the lounge or poolside. In the morning, take a stroll through the beautiful gardens before breakfast. Wi-Fi is available at no charge in all lodge rooms, and reception is best in the rooms near the main building. Planet Lodge is generally a safe Tanzania accommodation with security guards, secure valet parking, doorman and keyed guest room entry. Commuter and public transport traffic resonances from the main road may be heard inside some rooms, and the quietest rooms are those that face the swimming pool.
Organized transfers are a convenient way to travel into the city for walking and shopping tours of Arusha. The city of Arusha hosts many activities that are sure to give guests staying at Planet Lodge a special look into the cultures of the local Tanzanian tribes. The Maasai Market, Ilkiding’a Cultural Tour, Ngiresi Cultural Tourism Program are just a few ways to learn more about native traditions. More adventurous visitors may opt for the Mkuru Camel Safari and Cultural Tourism experience. Food lovers on holiday in Africa absolutely adore the Coffee and Cheese Tour in the village of Mulala near Mount Meru. Other activities include a walking or canoeing tour of Lake Duluti, cultural tour of local Tanzanian villages, supporting local communities through volunteer work and much more. All of these incredible activities and much more can be best arranged prior to arrival to guarantee availability. Planet Lodge is located approximately 5 miles from the business center of the city. You can safely organize and book your Arusha transfer logistics via AfricanMecca. For those who are flying into northern Tanzania, Planet Lodge is approximately 45 minutes from the Kilimanjaro International Airport and approximately 20 minutes from the Arusha Airport.

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.
