Nestled within one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations is Arusha Coffee Lodge, a premier hotel in Arusha. The design of the lodge is an elegant blend of wood, brick and glass set within the foothills of Mount Meru. Within this splendid setting are 30 Plantation Houses with 12 Plantation Suites and 18 Plantation Rooms that reflect the historical architecture of the original 1900’s house. Coffee elements have been used as an integral part of the Elewana design for the gorgeous guest accommodations, such as coffee beans display in glass cases.



The full bathrooms of the rooms and suites are designed to soothe and rejuvenate you after a day of shopping and touring in Arusha. Natural light filters through floor-to-ceiling frosty to clear glass, creating a serene place to soak in a warm bath. Other features of the bathrooms are a glass shower, separate toilet area and chic wash basin.



The comfortable sitting areas give you a relaxed setting to gather with family and friends during your nearest and dearest bonding vacation in Tanzania with AfricanMecca. The Plantation Suites feature many modern amenities, such as 32” flat-screen televisions with satellite channels, in-room Wi-Fi, private balconies and sun terraces, personal attendants and much more. The Plantation Standard Rooms are surrounded by the coffee plants of the Burka Estate. Inside all rooms, you will find a log burning fireplace to keep you warm at night.



When you stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge before or after your Africa safari tour, you enjoy mouthwatering meals and incredible views. For breakfast, you choose from European options, and a favorite among AfricanMecca guests are the flaked muesli, pancakes, omelets, potatoes and fresh juices. A variety of dishes are prepared each day for the four-course luncheon buffet, comprising of varied meats – grilled, baked or fried, vegetarian curries and finger-licking desserts.



A selection of cocktails, wines, beers and other beverages are available, including Tanzania’s finest coffee. You may also request a picnic lunch if your day is full of activities, such as a city trip to Arusha or even Mt. Kilimanjaro National Park. For dinner, you choose from a selection of sumptuous menu items that reflect European continental cuisine with hints of African and Swahili influences.



Arusha Coffee Lodge is a spectacular Tanzania accommodation that offers plenty to do before your safari. One of the most interesting activities is the two-hour walk around a local coffee plantation where you watch the beans being harvested and roasted. At the center of Arusha is a historic Clock Tower that is set halfway between Cairo and Cape Town.

The Natural History Museum, also known as the Old Boma, has a variety of photo exhibits on human antiquity, Tanzanian flora and fauna and colonial era history. Other attractions in Arusha are the Arusha Declaration Museum, cultural programs, Maasai market, farmer’s market, just to name a few of the prime attractions.
