When you arrive in Arusha, you are sure to be tired from your flight travel. Rivertrees Country Inn offers a quiet and peaceful setting where you can regain your strength for your African safari. This deluxe, serene hotel in Arusha is situated at the foothills of Mount Meru offering 18 garden rooms, 2 cottages and the River House. All 24 rooms are very clean and have comfy beds, hand-picked furnishings, full bathrooms, mosquito netting and complimentary bottled water. Garden rooms have a bathtub or shower.
The River Cottages give you a secluded escape along the Usa River where blue and vervet monkeys are frequently seen. The cottages are handicap accessible, and features outdoor private showers and large verandahs that overlook the river. The proximity to the river, though, may mean that there could be more mosquitoes close to the waters than in the garden areas so wear long khakis and covered tops when trailing along the river.
If you are planning a family trip to Arusha with AfricanMecca or traveling with a small group, the River House offers all of the space and comfort that you need. The house features two wings, each with a double accommodation, and you may book all or a portion of the house.
Other amenities at the River House are a private chef and butler upon request, complimentary in-house WiFi, large sitting area with sofa and chairs, stocked bar, complete kitchen and private terrace. While staying at the inn, you have access to free Wi-Fi in the common areas, a guest laptop and laundry service, although there is a charge for laundry. Ask for a price list to avoid any unexpected tally on check out.
Treat yourself to a bit of pampering during your tranquil vacation in Tanzania with the Rivertrees Signature Massage and Soak, a soothing treatment in an outdoor massage banda, complete with mosquito netting and fresh scented flowers. The sound of the Usa River lulls you into relaxation during a Swedish massage and soak in a warm bath.
When your appetite needs to be satisfied, the inn’s restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. You may also request private dining in your room. Stone oven pizzas get a quality notch higher at this enticing Tanzania accommodation. If you prefer more traditional fare, the restaurant also serves many flavorsome dishes, such as broccoli and blue cheese quiche, French onion soup, spinach cannelloni, grilled vegetable and chicken sandwich, braised pork ribs, to name a few of the entrees.
Your sweet tooth is also indulged with vanilla ice cream served with caramel sauce or ginger-carrot cake. Rivertrees Country Inn is conveniently located for all of your AfricanMecca sightseeing activities around Arusha, such as canoeing on Lake Duluti, nature walks, mountain biking and city and cultural tours of Arusha, local villages and coffee farms (view map of Arusha to plan your visit).

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.
