Olasiti Lodge Has Been Closed Down Until Further Notice
Conveniently located for tours from Arusha, Olasiti Lodge is less than five miles from the city's commerce center offering a value Tanzania accommodation with 28 guest rooms. The rooms at Olasiti either have a king-size bed or twin beds, all with canopied mosquito netting. Large windows allow natural light to fill the rooms and bring nature's beauty indoors, and the open-beam ceiling makes the room feel spacious. The decor is soothing and features soft colors with touches of warm woods, black iron work and earthen pottery. Furnishings at this comfortable Arusha accommodation include a bedside table with lamps, writing desk with chair and shelving. Full bathrooms feature blue and white tile work on the walls and warm terra cotta color tile on the floor, as well as a corner shower, flush toilet and sink. Private verandas look out over the beautifully landscaped grounds with stone walkways, mature trees, shrubs and flowering plants, giving you a sense of tropical solitude while on your equatorial vacation in Africa. The restaurant prepares palatable food for those who may choose to eat indoors or privately on the deck. Picnics can also be arranged by the friendly and professional staff. AfricanMecca guests should request any special dietary needs prior to arriving at the lodge. Bottled drinking water is available in your rooms, and the bar and restaurant offer a selection of wines and other beverages. The lodge also features an internet cafe and gift shop. Cell phone reception is good in most areas of the lodge grounds, but land lines are limited.The lodge staff will welcomes you with a refreshing drink upon arrival while your AfricanMecca tour representative in Arusha is available to arrange any last minute excursions to explore the surrounding wilderness areas such as Arusha National Park, Mount Meru, Kilimanjaro National Park and other sites of interest for your day visit. Arusha National Park is within close proximity to the lodge, and trips into Arusha will give you the opportunity to see the town's many attractions, such as evolutionary photo and historic exhibits of the excavation works at Ol Duvai and Laetoli Footprints at Arusha’s National Natural History Museum (aka as Old Boma Museum), the Clock Tower that was donated to the town by a former Greek resident -- Galanos family, the Arusha Declaration National Museum that celebrates the Tanzania’s Socialist Uhuru Freedom Movement and many more. Rural shopping in Arusha is absolutely delightful, and the city has both a Central Market and a Maasai Market. After a day of your Arusha park safari tour in Tanzania and other activities, enjoy a glass of wine in the lounge or take a dip in the sparkling swimming pool. You can choose to relax in your room to enjoy spectacular views of the gardens from your verandah. Olasiti Lodge is an excellent choice for single travelers, couples and families on safari with children. The lodge is located south west of the city, and is easily accessible from Arusha's two airports, with a one-hour drive from International Kilimanjaro and a 30-minute drive from Arusha Airport. For those who are traveling by vehicle from the Namanga border close to Amboseli in Kenya, the drive takes a little more than two hours into Arusha.
