LAKE DULUTI LODGE IN ARUSHA
Located just 15 minutes from Arusha and 40 minutes from Kilimanjaro Airport, Lake Duluti Lodge is a conveniently-located Tanzania accommodation that offers luxurious comfort, tranquility and natural beauty, making it the perfect beginning to an adventure-filled safari experience in Tanzania with AfricanMecca. The professional staff welcomes you and makes them feel right at home. The location of Lake Duluti Lodge makes it a particularly interesting hotel in Arusha. The lodge features 18 chalets that are impeccably designed to immerse you in an experience of complete tranquility and relaxation before their exciting African safari adventures. You choose from one king or two twin beds, and a canopy of mosquito netting covers all of the beds. The warm earth tones and large windows bring nature indoors, and the furnishings are well-suited for your comfort and convenience, yet the rooms still feel open and inviting. After the high-energy pace of day trips to Arusha, you may enjoy escaping into the solitude of the spa-like full bathroom that features beautiful tile walls and floors, rich wood cabinetry, large free-standing soaking tubs, walk-through showers and flush toilets. Modern conveniences have not be forgotten, as each chalet has a mini bar, plasma flat screen television with satellite channels, in-room telephone with intercom and international calling and a personal safe.
The restaurant staff prepares locally-influenced cuisine that is delicately flavored with African spices and other ingredients, and the healthy, organic produce is harvested daily from the lodge’s vegetable gardens. You can enjoy your meals in the dining area or treat yourself to an outdoor dining experience on the deck or in the gardens next to the swimming pool. On occasion, snacks and other small dishes are served at the lakeshore lounge. Upon request, the chef may also prepare special dishes for guests, such as romantic dinners for newlyweds or meals for those with dietary restrictions. Additionally, the lodge is surrounded by a working coffee plantation, and you are able to relax on your private verandahs and observe the daily operations of planting, harvesting and processing some of Tanzania’s finest coffee. That same coffee is served late in the day as a wonderful complement to freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Staying at Lake Duluti Lodge not only gives you a unique setting to enjoy before setting off on your glamorous safari vacation in Africa, but the lodge also provides easy access to many activities in and around Arusha bookable via your AfricanMecca representative – best prior to arrival to guarantee availability. Some of the most popular activities include shopping and historical tours of Arusha, canoe trips to Lake Duluti, hiking and bird watching in the beautiful Duluti Forest, cultural tours at local villages and visits to some of the area’s coffee and vegetable farms. The scenery around the lodge is also an excellent backdrop for walking, jogging and mountain biking. At day’s end, AfricanMecca guests love to gather together for lakeshore sunset cocktails (read more on where else to stay in Arusha).

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.
