BEACH WEDDINGS IN KENYA

Are You Planning A Kenya Beach Wedding Trip? Scroll Down For Details..

One of the supreme romantic wedding venues is a gorgeous stretch of beach where gentle waves roll upon the pristine sand and the golden light of the sun creates an ambience that is as warm as love itself. Many couples prefer beach weddings in Africa for many reasons, all of which lend to an intimate ceremony with a small gathering of close friends and family. While simplicity is the most attractive aspect of a beachfront wedding, couples who choose the venue also enjoy the freedom and flexibility, as well as the memories of a unique, one-of-a-kind beginning to their marriage. While quite enticing, seashore nuptials do require a bit of planning, and the destination must be as exceptional as the couple. As seaside weddings grow in attractiveness, the coastal destinations that were once reserved for only the most affluent couples have now become accessible to all. AfricanMecca Safaris invites you to consider your beach wedding in one of the world’s most exotic and hush-hush seafront wedding venues — Kenya! The coastline of Kenya is an idyllic blend of white sand, brilliant turquoise-blue ocean and seclusion in select beaches like Funzi, Galu, Msambweni. Planning an East African beach bridal trip may seem daunting, but with our skills, expertise, insight and guidance, you will have the coastal wedding of your dreams. Best of all, Kenya offers far more than your average beach espousal destination. The Kenyan wilderness is close-at-hand, so you can integrate honeymoon tour in the African bush. Your friends and family will be truly impressed with the day travel to historical attractions like forts and ruins, Swahili townships, interactions with native peoples, leisurely walks, sunset boat cruises and so much more! We specialize in personalized Kenya beach wedding holidays, so we know how to adeptly manage every detail, such as timing for tides and weather, seating, intimate resorts, meal catering, local regulations, traditional ceremonies, photography, hairstylist and much more.
Kenya has distinct seaside settings, so we are able to advise you as to the best for your individual desires and needs. Only select experienced hotels on Mombasa’s North and South Coast host weddings, and Lamu Island also has only limited accommodations for beach weddings. Choices are also few in Malindi and Watamu, but you need not worry because your AfricanMecca wedding planner knows all the options. We have hand-selected smaller accommodations for our guests who wish to marry along the Kenyan seashore, but we also have a selection of larger accommodations if your guest list is more extensive. Additionally, you should not worry about strangers or beach vendors casually walking through your ceremony, so we recommend only those areas where privacy and safety are ensured. The wedding is only the beginning, though! With the African bush nearby, we can arrange a private honeymoon safari of the Kenyan wilderness for the newlyweds. Speak with your safari planner to find out about the weather, animal behaviors, activities and general experience that coincides with your wedding date. Even if your wedding party does not join you for bush experience, they have plenty to do, such as diving, fishing, snorkeling, sailing, day excursions, shopping, cultural outings and much more!

Legal Requirements For Beach Weddings In Kenya

AfricanMecca is a premier beach and safari wedding organizer, and we take pride in preparing the sweethearts, their families and friends for a dream seaside wedding in Kenya. As you consider an African beach ceremony for your union of love, you should consider the effect of local traditions, laws and requirements. In order to be considered a legal marriage, we must work closely with the authorities in Kenya, including having a registrar perform the ceremony. We help you make these arrangements at your beachfront hotel. The process, though, begins at least six weeks before your wedding date. You must send the following documents via fax or mail to the registrar via your AfricanMecca wedding planner. The information must be for the bride and groom.

  • Certified copies of birth certificates and passports.
  • A legally-binding letter from an authority in your country-of-residence declaring that the bride and groom are not currently married. The letter may be written by a physician, clergy person or civil registrar within your country.
  • Certified copies of divorce decree(s) if the bride and/or groom have been married previously.
  • Full name, address, religion/belief/faith and occupation of bride and groom.
  • Certified copies of the documents proving name changes for bride and/or groom.
  • If the bride or groom is under the age of 18, a notarized affidavit from the parent permitting the marriage must also be submitted.
You should send the documents well ahead of time, as processing can take up to four to six weeks. Additionally, we should send a letter to the registrar to request his or her presence for the ceremony. The letter must be signed by the both the bride and groom. Requesting a registrar takes up to five working days, so we arrange your beach trip in Kenya accordingly. Original documents need to be available while you are in Kenya. Your Kenyan beach wedding vacation will be a stress-free, memorable, heartwarming and intimate affair with the help of your AfricanMecca nuptial planner. Best of all, we manage all of the details for you, including hotel arrangements in Mombasa, Malindi, Watamu or Lamu, flowers, bouquet, beauty treatments, hair styling, makeup, consultation appointments, romantic dining, dancing, music, reception, wedding guest accommodations, transportation, wedding planning and coordination, photography, video services and any other aspect that you require!
