WHERE TO STAY IN MALINDI

Immersing yourself in a tropical paradise like Malindi can be a dream comes true, so you should choose an accommodation that fits your personal taste and desired activities. The AfricanMecca Beach Tier system helps you decide which hotel meets your every need by providing an objective and accurate evaluation of the lodging choices in Malindi. Lion In The Sun is a luxury Tier 1 accommodation where you have an exceptional boutique holiday in Kenya with access to a pristine white sand beach. The professional and courteous staff at Lion In The Sun are always readily available to meet your every need. The 16 guest rooms are elegantly appointed with an interior design that reflects the Indian, Swahili and African cultures that are prominent in Malindi, as well as all of the modern amenities that you can imagine. At the deluxe Tier 2 level, you have two choices of accommodation -- Diamonds Dream of Africa and Ocean Beach Resort. The service and food quality are excellent at both hotels, but you may have to pay extra for some services that are standard at the higher Tier 1 level. Each of these mid-range hotels has coincidentally 35 rooms and both accommodations have an on-site spa for your pleasurable, pampered seaside trip in Malindi. For the budget-conscious traveler, AfricanMecca recommends Driftwood Beach Club, a 28-cottage and villa lodging, and also Sandies Tropical Village that features 109 guest rooms. Food is palatable and service is limited, but both of these accommodations get you close to the beach and ocean in an affordable manner (read more on when is the best time to travel to Malindi).
