WILDFITNESS - BARAKA HOUSE IN WATAMU
Wildfitness Baraka House is a unique accommodation in Watamu that offers you more than just a relaxing time on your seaside vacation in Kenya. This is one house-hotel where you can rejuvenate your mind, body and soul by choosing one of their active healing programs. At Baraka House, they believe that to understand the secret to human well-being, one must understand how humans evolved to where they are today. Humans evolved as hunters and gatherers, deriving their nutrition from natural sources that were adequate to meet every need of the human body. As a result, human bodies were lean, healthy and strong enough to face the travails of the physical demanding life they endured over time. Working on these principles, Wildfitness Baraka House has devised programs where you can stay with them on your coastal trip in East Africa, and go through their sessions of healthy eating, healthy movements and exercise and a healthy lifestyle. When you are ready to go back to your day-to-day living, you will have transformed your entire being to a whole new self, brimming with vitality, and eager to take on the challenges life has for you (read more on when is the best time to travel to Watamu). The Wildfitness Baraka House has 5 rooms available to AfricanMecca guests, all constructed in cottage style and arranged around the swimming pool. Each of the rooms has an oceanfront veranda with lounge furniture where you can relax after an active day. The property has lush greenery all around and a natural forest with indigent vegetation is at its rear. The resort-house has two other houses close to it i.e. Forest View House located 300 meters interior, amidst the forest wilderness of Watamu. Also adjacent to it is the neighborly Siena House with two rooms and a communal pool for both houses. Stroll out to the beach from Baraka, and feel the powdery white sands beneath your feet as you revel in the tranquility of your surroundings. The serene ambience of the resort is enough to set you at peace with yourself. On some evenings, you might witness newly hatched turtles making their way out to sea. The meals served at the Wildfitness Baraka House reflect their philosophy of natural and healthy living. The ingredients for their meals are collected from organic sources including fruits, vegetables, cashew nuts, coconuts, mineral water and seafood. Even the salt used in the food is unprocessed sea salt. Vegetarians can request special meals and if you have any food allergies, please do inform AfricanMecca Safaris at the time of booking your beach tour in Watamu. The fitness programs Wildfitness Baraka House offers first assess your body type and assign you exercises that you can do comfortably. They will record your movements on tape and create sessions that suit you. You will attend workshops where the concepts of eating healthy foods that match your metabolism will be explained to you. You will have training sessions two or three times a day and also massage sessions to relax sore muscles. The Kick Start program is for newcomers and lasts for nine days. You can also opt to extend your time at the resort and your training programs will be adjusted accordingly. For instance, you could take the two-week Revitalise course or the Long Transformation course. If you are taking courses in a mid-size group of family and friends or a corporate incentive group, you can opt for the personalized Bespoke Course. Choose Wildfitness Baraka House for your fitness focused beach holiday on the Indian Ocean, and you will have a whole new understanding for a healthier lifestyle. Combine your stay at Baraka House with an active-adventure safari in Kenya with AfricanMecca.
