TURTLE BAY BEACH CLUB IN WATAMU
Located on the coast of Kenya in Watamu Village, the Turtle Bay Beach Club is a beloved choice of a modest accommodation for AfricanMecca guests during their beach holiday on the Indian Ocean. Spread across 10 acres of lush, beautiful tropical gardens, this value all-inclusive accommodation precinct the prominent Watamu Marine Park in Kenya. The hotel covers 200 meters of stunning white sand beach edged with coconut palms, overlooking the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Ideal for families travelling with kids and also for seniors and easy-going couples, you can expect uncomplicated amenities and friendly service during your stay. If you need to make any local or international calls, you can use the phone at the reception. Wi-Fi internet use is chargeable service. Turtle Bay offers 149 rooms in various classes, and you can book rooms according to your requirements. They have 89 Super Club Rooms that include double or twin beds with mosquito curtains. They are air-conditioned and also have tea and coffee making supplies for your use. Fresh drinking water in cool flasks is placed in your rooms every day, and you can make use of the room safes free of cost. The rooms come with balconies and attached bathrooms that have hairdryers and soap for you. They also have distinct bath and shower areas. The hotel also has three rooms that are specially equipped for physically challenged guests with showers only. You can also request interlinked rooms if you are travelling with family or kids. In addition to the amenities of the Super Club Rooms, the 40 Lamu Rooms include elements of Swahili decor and are suitable for two adults. You can request twin beds or a queen-size bed. These rooms face the ocean or the garden and have either a balcony or a patio. The 14 Ocean Front Rooms offer you a splendid view of the Indian Ocean with the lower floors opening directly onto the sandy beach. If you require more living space while, on your seaside trip in Watamu, you could opt for one of the two Sea View Suites. They come with living and sleeping areas and can accommodate two adults. In addition to other amenities, the bedrooms have Lamu beds and shampoo is provided for your bathing use as in the Ocean Facing Rooms too. The Turtle Bay Beach Club has three restaurants and a snack bar that serve you meals. The main restaurant serves lunch, breakfast and dinner, buffet style and has distinct smoking and non-smoking sections. It also serves vegetarian food. The Pizza Restaurant has a collection of pizzas, pastas, soups and salads for you to choose from while the Snack Bar takes orders by the pool. AfricanMecca guests can also visit the Blue Turtle Restaurant for meals off the buffet menu, but they require you to follow a dress code. In the evenings, semi-formal outfits are requested. They also have candle-lit dinners to make your evening special. As part of the complimentary activity equipment, Pedalos, Paddle Skis and Boogie Boards are available to all guests. Fun Boats are available as a paid activity and are hosted by in-house watersports guides; however, if you take a usage course (extra cost) at the resort, you can take it out on your own for a maximum of 30 minutes (fair usage) on each day of your stay in Watamu. Children between the age of 4 and 12 years can participate in activities such as Kids Fort by the pool, local field tour close to hotel, arts and crafts, cooking lessons, beach games, Tarzan's Tree House and cartoon video sessions. For the adults, the resort will host traditional dancers, acrobats, quizzes, snake demonstrations or beach dancing with a live local band.
