Pilli Pipa Dhow
A Pilli Pipa Diving and Dhow safari is an all-inclusive adventure, which offers you an unbeatable marine life experience.
The owners of Pilli-Pipa, Selina and Harm, are both qualified PADI MSDT Dive Instructors and Medic First Aid Instructors with numerous specialties. Selina has a degree in Marine Biology and a Masters degree in Aquaculture from Stirling University in the UK. They have both worked as diving instructors in many countries including Jamaica, Thailand, Malta, England, Holland and Kenya before settling on Wasini Island about 80 kilometers south of Mombasa, not far from the Tanzania border. Selina and Harm offer diving in a number of excellent sites around Kisite and Wasini.
Spend a magical day in Kenya's beautiful underwater world at Kisite National Marine Park. Pilli Pipa will take you to a living coral reef and show you how to enjoy this spectacular environment without damaging it. So if you have never snorkeled before, this is your chance to learn with the guidance of a fully trained crewmember.
Diving within the Kisite Marine National Park is an unbelievable experience. The variety and abundance of fish is astounding: Blue striped snappers, Ehrenburg snappers and sweet lips with their prominent yellow coloring. Families of up to eighty parrotfish, mainly blue in color, can be seen passing through these shallow waters feeding on the coral with loud crunching noises. Amongst the smaller fish are the common damsel fish, surgeon fish, angelfish and butterfly fish.
Beginner divers will enjoy the supervision of an experienced dive instructor whilst professional divers will be astonished by the wealth and diversity of marine life.
