NGUUNI NATURE SANCTUARY TOUR EXPERIENCE IN MOMBASA WITH AFRICANMECCA
With hundreds of avi-fauna found within the sanctuary, bird lovers should definitely spend some time walking the trails to locate and identify the avi-fauna, and you may spot a pink-backed pelican, yellow-billed stork, Egyptian geese, white-face whistling duck and many other year-round birds, or if you choose your visit time wisely, you may see some of the seasonal feathered residents, such as long-tail cormorant in January and February, fulvous whistling duck in July and August, brown snake eagle in September and October and many other occasional avian species.
The sanctuary also offers game drives, and although not as heart-pounding as those on your safari, these guided driving tours allow you to see a small sample of Kenya’s wildlife up close, such as waterbuck, giraffe, oryx, eland and ostrich. Should you prefer more self-directed pastimes, the sanctuary has several picnic areas and areas to relax with a cocktail as the sun sets on the horizon.

BEST TIME TO VISIT MOMBASA
When combined with a wildlife safari, the two dry seasons from July through October and January until February are the best times to visit Mombasa as the sky has few, if any, clouds, and sunshine is abundant.
