WHERE TO STAY IN SAADANI PARK
In general, all accommodations in Saadani have comfortable beds, mosquito proofing, en-suite bathrooms, private balconies or decks, wholesome, locally produced food, and good game-viewing. More up-market locations may offer fine dining as opposed to buffets, or may have swimming pools, spas and boutiques, 24-hour electricity, air-conditioners, television, Wi-Fi, stand-alone baths, but there is also a high value placed on an authentic, unpretentious Tanzanian wilderness safari experience with open-air bush showers of smoke-scented water, fire-cooked meat potjes and wildlife no further away than your tent flap.
Saadani Safari Lodge is the only Tier 1 premier luxury lodge present. Beachside, Saadani Safari Lodge comprises of elegant raised chalets, with 24-hour power, modern bathrooms and outdoor hot and cold showers on the decking. Daybeds and hammocks complete the stylish furnishings. A delightful beach bar themed on an old Arab dhow, and a large open dining area, lounge and library offer the finest of experiences. Saadani River Lodge in comparison is a Tier 2 stone-built deluxe Tanzanian vacation lodging spot in a very different setting – the Wami River. At Saadani River Lodge, spacious, stilted huts amidst the trees and bushes enjoy entrancing views even from huge tubs in elegant bathrooms. A raised, decked walkway leads to a central lodge, bar, restaurant and a tropical swimming pool.
In complete contrast, Kisampa Bush Lodge marked at Tier 3 hides deep in the bush on a private conservation area to the south of the Saadani Park (view map). Guests are accommodated in rustic simplicity at this totally ecological project with compost toilets and bush showers, which is designed to contribute to the conservation of game and development of sustainable living through involvement with local people. Also at Tier 3, A Tent With A View is a Saadani seashore tented accommodation for budget conscious holidayers in Africa. In a seafront setting, close to the north gate of Saadani National Park, it is a beach-bums’ paradise with hammocks, coconut groves, silver sand and waves curling to your feet from the stoop. Saltwater supplies the bathroom, but the main bar stocks cold beer and bottled water. The restaurant serves delicious locally caught giant prawns.

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.

EAST AFRICA SAFARI BOOKING TRIP IDEA FOR SAADANI IN EASTERN TANZANIA
When visiting Saadani National Park, we recommend combining it with offbeat parks in Southern and Western Tanzania such as Nyerere (Selous), Ruaha or Katavi ending with a chimpanzee trekking safari at Gombe or Mahale.
You may optionally extend out to Northern Tanzania safari parks such as Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti (wildebeest migration). End your trip with a Swahili cultural tour and beach holiday in Zanzibar.
