AfricanMecca Safaris work closely with branded and independent niche accommodation supplier groups in Tanzania, all with exemplary reputations earned over many years, and some over decades. Each has developed a consistent, unique signature in a number of hotels, camps, or lodges throughout Tanzania. One of the original Tanzanian safari camps, Nomad, has operated small, quality camps in the remotest areas of East Africa for few decades including Serengeti plains -- Loliondo, Ndutu, and Tarangire in northern Tanzania, in Katavi and Mahale in western Tanzania, and in Selous and Ruaha in the south. In such remote locations, they have achieved miracles of organization and bush competence with such delightful venues as Greystoke Mahale, famous for African primate safaris, primarily wild chimpanzees, and Serengeti Safari Camp, an ideal pioneer mobile camp to track the annual Great Migration of millions of blue wildebeest and plains zebra. They take a very responsible stance towards the preservation of the landscapes and wildlife they love. Singita also operates in a sustainable manner, co-operating with local tribespeople in the western and northern wildebeest migration path, but present a superlative luxury safari ambience in the private game reserve of Grumeti. Singita Serengeti House can be privately hired for family and small group tours while their boutique northern camp is strategically located in the prime game viewing area of the northern Serengeti -- Lamai Triangle or Wedge by the Mara River.
Asilia Africa offers personalized wilderness experiences in venues such as Oliver’s Camp in Tarangire, with bucket showers and bush cooking. Their other camps in Tanzania are Sayari, Olakira, Dunia, Namiri, Kimondo, Ubuntu and Rubondo including luxury beach lodges in the island of Zanzibar – Matemwe. They now have a presence in Ruaha by managing Kwihala Camp. Serena Camps and Lodges in Tanzania are represented by diverse experiences, one site in Lake Manyara, a tranquil, African style complex overlooking the lake, offering distinctive lake game viewing experiences and cultural interactions with the local people. Their discerning upmarket experience is at Mivumo in Selous and Kirawira in western Serengeti. They also reside on the Ngorongoro Crater and in Stone Town, Zanzibar, as well as in Dar es Salaam and Arusha.

Wilderness retreats such as Sanctuary Swala provide authentic wilderness experiences amidst the elephants and baobab trees of Tarangire supplemented by Kusini, their prime southern Serengeti Camp located on the calving site of the Great Wildebeest Migration. They also managed lodging in Saadani. The Elewana Collection are charismatic lodgings such as the baroque Manor at Ngorongoro, dual camps in the south-central and eastern expanses of Serengeti, and treetops lodge in Tarangire, whilst andBeyond also treats AfricanMecca guests to fantastic accommodations, including enormous tree houses at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, cradled in a grove of ancient mahogany while its Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is the definitive in epicurean fantasy. Their Under Canvas Mobile Camp follows the migration while their stationary Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp is on the west and Klein’s on the eastern Maasai lands of Loliondo.

The camps of Lemala, like Ewanjan, Ndutu and Mara offer authentic deluxe bush camp experiences with minimal footprints in spectacular and strategic wildernesses chosen for the best wildlife action with game drives and walks led by especially skillful and knowledgeable guides. Tanganyika Wilderness Camps own isolated farm houses as well as non-frill camps like Kati Kati in central Serengeti and Under Canvas in Ndutu, Masek, Bologonya and Kogatende regions, where you have the wildlife experience as well as access to Olduvai George from Ngorongoro Farm House, home of prehistoric man, and close cooperation with the proud and beautiful Maasai people. They have other accommodations in Tarangire and West Kilimanjaro.

Mbali Mbali offers off-beat experiences at their camps in Katavi, Gombe and Mahale with deluxe entrants like Soroi in Serengeti. They also have a presence in Tarangire. Serian luxury bush and mobile camps offer flexibility and fly-camping, whilst Kirurumu Camps meet the challenge of community-based tourism in private lands owned by the Maasai. Most if not all of these accommodation groups are committed to conservation and local community development as well as to providing the best possible authentic lodging experiences for AfricanMecca guests on a discerning Tanzania adventure vacation in East Africa. We trust them absolutely by experiencing its camp, lodges and hotels personally, and so can you by assured too of what to expect.
