WHERE TO STAY IN NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK
Staying within Nairobi National Park as part of your game tour of Kenya is an unforgettable experience. Nairobi Tented Camp is the only lodging that is situated inside the park, and this Tier 2 tented camp is reminiscent of those used by early explorers in Kenya. With only eight guest tents, the camp gives you a sense of being in the remote African bush with all of the necessary conveniences, such as full bathroom with bucket shower, private veranda, comfortable bed and much more, all set amidst its wildlife ecology.
While staying at the camp, you enjoy flavorsome meals that keep your appetite satisfied, and the courteous staff are always available to serve you as needed.
Should you prefer to stay on the unfenced southern border of the park, consider Tier 1 Emakoko, a family-owned and operated 10-room lodging that is situated on 15 acres of land bordered by the Mbagathi and Emakoko Rivers. The other Tier 2 accommodations on the outside of the northern fence zone of the park are Ole Sereni Hotel and African Heritage House.
Ole Sereni Hotel features 134 guest rooms and suites with modern amenities, such as LCD television, air conditioning, complimentary internet, and the suites are specially designed to meet the needs of the business traveler in East Africa. African Heritage House is a six-room gallery-house takes you through a journey of African cultures with an eclectic collection of art, textiles and varied handcrafted furnishings.
Also close to Nairobi National Park are two Tier 3 accommodations used mostly by JKI Airport transit passenger – Eka Hotel Nairobi, a contemporary lodging with 170 rooms and suites, and you may opt for the older Panari Hotel, a 136-room sky-rise hotel that features an ice skating rink, spa, fitness center and several dining options and lounges.
