WHERE TO STAY IN RUBONDO PARK
The camp kitchen prepares delicious meals, including local and international dishes. AfricanMecca guests dine in the comfort of a beautiful dining area with breathtaking views of the bay. Breakfast includes an assortment of international dishes with local influences, such as toast served with local jam and honey, cereal made with organic grains, fresh fruit and much more. Lunch may be enjoyed in the dining area or as a picnic in one of the park's designated areas, and may include a selection of meats, vegetables, fruits. The lounge at the camp offers a relaxing place to enjoy the company of other guests or read a book. As the sun lowers, visit the bar to order from a selection of local and imported wines, beers, spirits, and then gather around the campfire to share stories and watch the sunset. Dinner is a gastronomical delight at Rubondo Island Camp, as the kitchen prepares a variety of meats, salads, soups, vegetarian options, fruits and sweet desserts. The TANAPA park authorities itself also offers limited accommodation facilities for backpackers and students during an independent trip to Rubondo Island National Park. TANAPA Rest houses, bandas and a student hostel are the main options. The park's store offers basic sundries and beverages, and the common kitchen and dining facilities are available for all park visitors. Four resting shelters and four picnic sites also offer respite from a day of active exploration.

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.

When visiting Rubondo Island National Park by Lake Victoria, we recommend combining it with your Northern Tanzania safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti (wildebeest migration). End your trip with a Swahili cultural tour and beach holiday in Zanzibar.
