Located on Kiwengwa Beach of Pwani Mchangani in eastern Zanzibar Island, the Neptune Pwani Beach Resort & Spa is a lovely all-inclusive accommodation for a dream vacation. Waving palm trees, well-landscaped gardens, white sands that feel like cool talc below your feet, and the shimmering turquoise of Tanzania’s Indian Ocean, together create the perfect setting.



This mid-range resort primarily comprises of a collection of two-story structures with thatched roofs giving it the perfect coastal ambience while the Zanzibari decor reminds you of the island's multicultural heritage. You can lounge away beside the two free-form swimming pools or visit their Rain & Earth Spa for a pampering massage session.

The Neptune Pwani Resort offers you a collection of 154 rooms and suites in all. The Deluxe Garden Side Ocean View Rooms offer tranquil vistas of the gardens with partial views of the ocean while the Deluxe Seaside Ocean View Rooms offer easy access to the beach and the pools. Both these categories are located in two-story blocks and while the rooms on the lower floor have a patio, the rooms on the upper floor come with a balcony.



If like-minded AfricanMecca vacationers would prefer to stay in a villa, you can choose from the 4 stand-alone Master Suite Seaside Ocean View Villas that also feature a Jacuzzi. This hotel offers you a range of amenities to make your idyllic seaside holiday comfortable. The air-conditioned rooms are furnished with intricately carved Swahili furniture featuring the typically painted inlays.

Some of the rooms have large king sized beds while others have two queen sized beds, but with mosquito netting for your protection. They also have a TV with satellite connection, minibar, safe for your valuables and tea and coffee making supplies. Each of the rooms comes with a seating arrangement.



Enjoy well-cooked, delectable meals that are delicately flavored with spices at the resort’s main restaurant – Pwani. Other kinds of cuisine are also available at the hotel’s four A-la-carte eateries, Gusti, Namaste, Narai Thai and Samaki. Order snacks at the Ngalawa and drinks at Madafu, Nzuri and Coconut Beach Bar.

From Neptune Pwani Beach Resort & Spa, use it as a springboard to tour the island and its many attractions, each that will enlighten you. The underwater coral marine reserves teem with gorgeous reef creatures that you can view on diving and snorkeling trips. In the heart of Zanzibar’s forest conservation site is Jozani, home of the rare Kirk’s colobus monkey and a stunning diversity of flora, insects, amphibians and reptiles.



You could also visit the spice farms and perhaps, buy some seasonings to take home from your East African travels.
