BEST TIME TO VISIT DAR ES SALAAM DURING YOUR COASTAL TRAVELS IN EASTERN TANZANIA
The long rains in the eastern coast of Tanzania start from March through May dusting off by June while the short rains November and December. During the long rains, heavy showers can be experienced in the morning opening up in the late afternoon with some sunshine with pockets of gray clouds gathering in the distant for its next water showcase. Since Dar es Salaam is a coastal metropolis, the rains are heavier here than in the other parts of the country. Humidity is also high, and temperatures hover between the highs of 28 C (82 F) to 32 C (90 F) to the lows of 18 C (65 F) to 24 C (75 F) – varies in between seasonal months. The short rainy season, in comparison, sees much less rainfall – around two-thirds less on average.
Dar es Salaam is one city that welcomes visitors all through the year. That is because dry season or wet, wildlife lovers converge to see the Great Migration in the Serengeti that is a year-round phenomenon and Katavi, Selous and Ruaha – Tanzania’s premier off-beat wildernesses, and use the city’s accommodation choices as en-route stopovers. It is also used by guests heading off to the isles of Zanzibar, Mafia and Pemba – all part of the country’s finest beach and bare-feet island lures fused with cultural experiences of the Swahili people. Also, since Dar es Salaam is an important commercial center, many business travelers visit to attend conferences, meetings and workshops. Barring a few, all of Dar es Salaam’s major hotels and resorts offer venues complete with the necessary facilities to hold business events. Dar es Salaam is also a favored destination for travelers with local resident links or ties holding family events such as weddings, engagement and anniversary parties, and the hotels offer catering and flexible areas for holding successful and truly memorable events, irrespective of the season (read more on where to stay in Dar es Salaam with AfricanMecca).

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.
