WARERE TOWN HOUSE IN STONE TOWN ZANZIBAR
While on a cultural and ancient sightseeing vacationing on the island of Zanzibar in Eastern Africa, you will want to stay at a location that offers you easy accessibility to its main attractions. The Warere Town House is an economy accommodation sited close to the port and a good walk from the prominent Forodhani Gardens. If you are planning a trip to Changuu Prison Island, the boat boarding point is also close by. Family owned and run, Warere Town House offers an unpretentious experience and includes all the basic add-ons to make your stay comfortable. Its decor is predominantly Swahili with traditional Zanzibari furniture adorned with East African printed and colorful fabrics like kangas, kikoys and kitenges. You might also spot brass artifacts displayed on the ledges adding to the simple charm of the hotel. The Warere Town House has just 10 air-conditioned rooms for value guests and you can choose from 5 bedding options. If you solo, the Single Room should suffice for your stay. They also have the Standard Double Room and Deluxe Double Room for two guests. Groups of three AfricanMecca guests or families can opt for the Deluxe Triple Room. The deluxe rooms come with balconies. The twin or king sized beds are covered with mosquito netting and the rooms also have a ceiling fan and a safe for your valuables. The attached bathroom has the amenities typical of a budget accommodation. Wi-Fi is also available.
Breakfast is included in the room tariff and is served to you at the rooftop restaurant. You can also have your other agreeable meals here while soothing breeze from the Indian Ocean cools you. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets over the ocean as you sip drinks from the bar. The ancient city of Zanzibar is a melting pot of untainted cultures thanks to the many travelers, visitors and rulers it has had in its flamboyant and sometimes, stormy past. You will enjoy exploring it in the company of an expert AfricanMecca guide who will introduce you to the many architectural wonders, each a testimony to a different bygone era. So you have the Anglican Church constructed on the site of the infamous slave trade, the House of Wonders (Beit-al-Ajaib), the Sultan’s Palace (Beit-al-Sahel), the Old Fort and many more. If you have wondered what made Zanzibar, off the coast of Tanzania, such a coveted holiday location, you must tour the spice and fruit plantations. As your farm guide explains to you the medicinal properties of the seasonings, you realize how invaluable they must have been in the absence of modern medicine. The unfamiliar fruits growing will be a source of unending fascination, from durian to fenesi. Tour the wilds of Jozani Forest Reserve, home to yet another unusual denizen, the red colobus monkey. Conservation efforts have helped in their making a comeback and they now number over 2000. As you return back to Warere Town House, do take the time to explore the narrow alleyways of Stone Town with their many traditional stores selling you all kinds of exquisite items you can take home of your dream trip as a reminisce or as a gift for friends and families. Look for pretty trinkets and hand-crafted artifacts proudly displayed by timeworn artisans even as the spices and freshly cooked seafood from neighboring restaurants entice you with their aroma.

The Zanzibar Stone Town tour guide was superlative. He was outstanding and gave us undivided attention. We felt that was great value and to be escorted round the market place and slave stations was like walking in a living museum.

We have returned from our African adventure and would like to thank you very much for your part in making this such a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to time the Great Migration from the Serengeti, which was amazing.
Denise Paterson - Belmont, Australia
Ras Nungwi was a beautiful property, the pristine white beach not more than forty feet from our lovely room, the Indian Ocean sublime. Raza, it was the vacation of a lifetime, again, thanks so much.
