SPICE ISLAND HOTEL & RESORT IN ZANZIBAR
The very name Zanzibar spells passion, romance and adventure, and when you arrive on this distinctive East African island, its incredible natural beauty will blow you away. Jambiani Beach in the southeast (places to stay) is one of the liveliest and gorgeous locations, and your barefoot vacation at the Spice Island Hotel & Resort will be filled with long walks on the pristine white sands and explorations of the rock pools when the tide is out. Enjoy the gentle sea breezes even as the Indian Ocean spreads before you in its entire turquoise splendor. Take relaxing siesta tans in the warm tropical sun beside the pool or walk along the jetty to the deck above the waves. You can also order chilled drinks at the Jetty bar. The accommodation offers you a collection of 34 no-frills rooms in four different specifications, housed in dual-room bungalow structures. Solo AfricanMecca holidaymakers can stay in the Single Rooms while couples will find the Deluxe Double Room, Twin Room, and Deluxe Suite Sea Front Rooms comfortable. Families with three members can opt for the Triple Room. Each of the rooms is air-conditioned and also includes a ceiling fan, and large bed with mosquito netting. The Triple Rooms have an added single bed. Ensuite bathrooms have a shower and running hot water. You will also have a patio all to yourself where you can spend time reveling in the tranquility of your surroundings. The hotel serves meals in their restaurant, and you can choose from a selection of African, European, Indian and Swahili dishes served buffet style with a flavoring of Zanzibari spices. On your request, the hotel also sets up a romantic dinner or breakfast for you on the jetty or beside the pool.Take a break from the serenity of Spice Island Hotel & Resort and go exploring the many attractions of the island. Travel to ancient Stone Town, the island’s capital and you can try your hand at bargaining for the many exciting wares sold in the traditional small stores. Look for Swahili textiles, bead jewelry, spices and handcrafted curios that you can take home as mementos of your trip to this unique Tanzanian sovereignty. Also, view the many olden buildings that have stood the test of time and silently reveal interesting tales of an era long gone. Later, you could tour the lush Jozani Reserve in the foliage heart of the island. The rare red colobus monkey now thrives here, and your knowledgeable AfricanMecca guide will talk to you about their natural behavior even as you take pictures of butterflies and other insects, amphibians, reptiles and the unique flora. Sightsee around the spice farmlands and wonder at the seasonings growing in their natural form. There are cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger, turmeric and many more. Among the rare fruits, you can see fenesi, bungo, and durian to name a few. Go on a snorkeling and scuba diving excursion in the underwater reserves like Mnemba in the northeast, and immerse yourself in a beautiful natural underworld of reef creatures hiding and dashing among a stunning variety of coral. An afternoon day excursion of angling aboard a fishing boat could put you face to face with the fighters of the ocean, from marlins, sailfish to swordfish, among others.

The Zanzibar Stone Town tour guide was superlative. He was outstanding and gave us undivided attention. We felt that was great value and to be escorted round the market place and slave stations was like walking in a living museum.

I booked my safari holiday through AfricanMecca. They were the most helpful company I have ever dealt with and I work within the travel industry. I had the most amazing time. The holiday went as clockwork with no hitches anywhere.

We have returned from our African adventure and would like to thank you very much for your part in making this such a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to time the Great Migration from the Serengeti, which was amazing.
Denise Paterson - Belmont, Australia
Ras Nungwi was a beautiful property, the pristine white beach not more than forty feet from our lovely room, the Indian Ocean sublime. Raza, it was the vacation of a lifetime, again, thanks so much.

TOUR AND BEACH ACCOMMODATION TRIP IDEA FOR SPICE ISLAND HOTEL & RESORT IN ZANZIBAR TANZANIA
When beach vacationing at Spice Island Hotel & Resort in Zanzibar, we recommend experiencing some of the surrounding Zanzibar Island attractions and tour activities after your Northern Tanzania safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti.
You may optionally extend out to offbeat parks in Southern and Western Tanzania such as Selous, Ruaha or Katavi ending with a chimpanzee trekking safari at Gombe or Mahale by the relaxing Lake Tanganyika.
