SAHARI HOTEL IN ZANZIBAR
Bwejuu Beach, on the southeastern coastline of Zanzibar, is one of the finest vacationing seashores in East Africa with the glistening turquoise of the Indian Ocean spread before you dotted with the white sails of the fishing dhows. The pristine, powdery white sands of the seashore and the tropical palm tree and flower gardens of the Sahari Hotel together form a pleasant backdrop for your economy seaside holiday with AfricanMecca. This value hotel has agreeable common areas adorned with Swahili style daybeds, sofa seater and other furniture alongside thatched roofs that add an island living touch to the ambience. You can spend time around the small rectangular swimming pool or perhaps, enjoy a drink on the sitting platform with the foliage casting a pleasant, mottled shade. You could also enjoy a lazy siesta in a daybed on the beachfront, covered with gauzy curtains for shade. The rooms at the Sahari are located in a two-story structure around a small central courtyard, and you can choose to stay in one of the 12 Standard Rooms, one of which comes with twin beds. All of the other 11 rooms have comfortable double beds with mosquito netting. The rooms include a closet area and a room mini-fridge. There is also a third sofa bed to accommodate a child. En-suite bathrooms include the necessary amenities of a budget hotel. The accommodation serves meals in their restaurant close to the beach. Revel in the stunning vistas of the ocean and gentle sea breezes as you dine on Italian, Japanese and traditional Swahili Cuisine. The restaurant also has a bar where you can order drinks. While you could spend the entire duration of your trip relaxing by the seaside at Sahari Hotel, you must also visit the many places of interest in Zanzibar. The island’s capital is Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and here, you will find many bygone buildings that will amaze you with their grandeur. With your AfricanMecca guide, you will visit the House of Wonders, Forodhani Gardens, Sultan's Palace, Tippu Tip House and Anglican Church to name a few. The narrow, labyrinth alleyways have tiny traditional stores lining them where you can buy varied souvenirs and other wares. Later, you could travel out to the Jozani Forest Reserve for a primate-viewing expedition. This conservation area has been set aside for the protection of the red colobus monkey along with many rare species of flora. Tour the spice and fruit plantations on the island where you can view zests like cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, lemon grass, ginger and so many more. As you learn about the medicines that can be made from them, you will understand the allure the island had for rulers all over the world. Go scuba diving and snorkeling in the marine reserves off the island and you will view an ethereal world of multi-hued coral and the stunning diversity of the reef creatures that live there. You could also spend exhilarating time fishing under the supervision of a local Tanzanian skipper in distinct deep-water sites off the coastline.

The Zanzibar Stone Town tour guide was superlative. He was outstanding and gave us undivided attention. We felt that was great value and to be escorted round the market place and slave stations was like walking in a living museum.

I booked my safari holiday through AfricanMecca. They were the most helpful company I have ever dealt with and I work within the travel industry. I had the most amazing time. The holiday went as clockwork with no hitches anywhere.

We have returned from our African adventure and would like to thank you very much for your part in making this such a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to time the Great Migration from the Serengeti, which was amazing.
Denise Paterson - Belmont, Australia
Ras Nungwi was a beautiful property, the pristine white beach not more than forty feet from our lovely room, the Indian Ocean sublime. Raza, it was the vacation of a lifetime, again, thanks so much.
