The village of Matemwe is a quiet, tranquil settlement located on the northeast section of Zanzibar – perfect place for laidback East African beach holidays. And, the Kasha Boutique Hotel is a mid-range accommodation sprawled on a coral incline with tropical gardens, colorful flowers and coastal villas with thatch roofs. The property ends by a beautiful seaside with soft white sands and a low-tide lagoon. You will be welcomed into a roomy lounge, decorated charmingly with little artifacts, Zanzibari furniture and woven mats that give it a warm island ambience. You can also spend time swimming in the infinity pool or lounging in the day beds beside it. Or, take a relaxing massage at their spa. Follow the paved pathways in the gardens to the 11 villas, five of which are located beside the beachfront. However, all of them offer some views of the ocean. These villas have pleasing Swahili names that denote the distinct spices Zanzibar is famous for and owing to the vegetation and their distance from one another, they accord you the privacy needed for your barefoot vacation with AfricanMecca. The villas have two sections. The bedroom also includes a cozy sitting area and an open bathroom with a double basin, hairdryer, shower and bath. The outer section with a thatched roof is another nook for relaxing and chatting. Your villa also has a private plunge pool that you can soak in. They have air-conditioning and come equipped with a TV and DVD, mini-fridge, supplies for making tea and coffee and a secure deposit box for valuables.
The hotel serves you delectable meals accompanied with a selection of wines in their two eateries, the Sama Restaurant and the Poolside Restaurant and Bar. You can order drinks from the Shisha Bar. From Kasha Boutique Hotel, you can spend time sightsee and explore the varied attractions of the ancient island of Zanzibar.Tour Stone Town, its capital and you will be transported into a land that time passed by. The tiny stores still sell the wares they must have sold to Omani Royals, and the old buildings stand in mute testimony to the rich, cultural past of the island. Marvel at the edifice wonders like Beit Al Sahel, Beit Al Ajaib, Anglican Cathedral, Forodhani Gardens and many more. To understand what made Zanzibar this melting pot of cultures, you must take a trip to the spice and fruit gardens. Not only can you see the many spices but also you will learn of the distinct medicinal elixirs that can be made from them. These remedies were invaluable to the ancients that did not have modern treatments. Next on your travel itinerary should be a visit to the Jozani Forest, a conservation area set aside in the floral heart of the island. Here you can watch an uncommon primate, the red colobus monkey. Your adept AfricanMecca guide will talk to you about their behavior and other habits. You must also go snorkeling and diving at Mnemba Atoll to explore its coral gardens, astonishing underwater marine territories hidden below the composed warm waters of Tanzania’s Indian Ocean. If you like, you can also go fishing at the various deep-water sites around Zanzibar.

The Zanzibar Stone Town tour guide was superlative. He was outstanding and gave us undivided attention. We felt that was great value and to be escorted round the market place and slave stations was like walking in a living museum.

We have returned from our African adventure and would like to thank you very much for your part in making this such a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to time the Great Migration from the Serengeti, which was amazing.

Ras Nungwi was a beautiful property, the pristine white beach not more than forty feet from our lovely room, the Indian Ocean sublime. Raza, it was the vacation of a lifetime, again, thanks so much.
