GOLD ZANZIBAR BEACH HOUSE & SPA
Picture an idyllic corner of Kendwa Beach where the turquoise of the Indian Ocean seems to blend effortlessly with the clear blue of the skies, powdery white sands and gentle waves caress the feet while thatched parasols offer shade to the comfortable loungers. This is the setting for a memorable East African seaside vacation at the mid-range Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa in northwestern Zanzibar (other places to stay). You can spend time on the silken beach or beside their swimming pool that has three varying depths including one for kids. Swim a few languorous laps and later, visit the spa for a relaxing massage. This resort has a collection of 67 villas and suites for like-minded AfricanMecca travelers housed in one and two-story structures, some with thatched roofs. Some of the rooms have balconies while others have patios offering views of the well-laid gardens or the ocean. You can choose from rooms in five specifications such as the garden-facing Deluxe Garden Rooms on the ground floor or the seafront Ocean View Rooms. Both accommodation categories are available with double or twin beds. The Beach Suites include a private lounge while Beach Suites with Pavilion have a private gazebo in each. Groups of four holidayers can opt for one of the three Villas, the African, Arabian and Italian. Each villa features a sitting area, two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and the other with a twin. Jacuzzi is also available in each of the villas. All the rooms at the hotel come with an air-conditioner and ceiling fan. You can also make use of the telephone, mini-bar and electronic safety box. Tea and coffee making supplies and a TV are also present while the attached bathroom comes with a bath, shower area and a hairdryer.
The Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa serves meals in their two restaurants, the Kilimanjaro Restaurant and the Gold Restaurant. You can also enjoy drinks at the Ocean Dhow and Sultan Bar. On your request, the staff sets up meals by the seaside or serves them to you as you relax under your parasol. During your leisure days, we recommend heading down to the heart of Zanzibar. Every moment of your trip that you spend in Stone Town will be filled with discovery as you view the stately Tanzanian architectural and cultural wonders like the Sultan’s Palace, Anglican Church, House of Wonders (Beit-al-Ajaib) and many more. Explore the narrow alleyways lined with tiny stores for woven Swahili textiles, exquisite Tanzanite and beaded jewelry and spices among others. If you would like to view the spices growing in their natural form, visit the fruit and spice farms. Here, you will learn about their other uses such as in divine rites and sometimes, even natural cosmetic making. Also, learn the names of the unusual fruits you see, indigenous to the island. The Jozani Reserve is yet another must do attraction when touring around the island with AfricanMecca. This forest is home to the Kirk’s red colobus monkey, a fascinating primate, and also, a diversity of unique flora, amphibians and insects. You could also go scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing in the ocean off the coast of Kendwa, Nungwi and Matemwe - Mnemba.

The Zanzibar Stone Town tour guide was superlative. He was outstanding and gave us undivided attention. We felt that was great value and to be escorted round the market place and slave stations was like walking in a living museum.
Viv & Kirsty Turner - KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
I booked my safari holiday through AfricanMecca. They were the most helpful company I have ever dealt with and I work within the travel industry. I had the most amazing time. The holiday went as clockwork with no hitches anywhere.

We have returned from our African adventure and would like to thank you very much for your part in making this such a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to time the Great Migration from the Serengeti, which was amazing.
Denise Paterson - Belmont, Australia
Ras Nungwi was a beautiful property, the pristine white beach not more than forty feet from our lovely room, the Indian Ocean sublime. Raza, it was the vacation of a lifetime, again, thanks so much.
Jamie Davis & Liudmila Kondakova - California, United States
Dear Raza, I want to thank you for being the very best travel partner to design and arrange our spectacular trip to Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar. I have already recommended you to several of my friends and colleagues.

When beach vacationing at Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa in Zanzibar, we recommend experiencing some of the surrounding Zanzibar Island attractions and tour activities after your Northern Tanzania safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti.
You may optionally extend out to offbeat parks in Southern and Western Tanzania such as Selous, Ruaha or Katavi ending with a chimpanzee trekking safari at Gombe or Mahale by the relaxing Lake Tanganyika.
