DREAM OF ZANZIBAR
Dream of Zanzibar is a sprawling mid-range accommodation on the eastern shores of Zanzibar. Set beside the incredibly beautiful Kiwengwa Beach, this idyllic vacationing hotel has lush landscaped gardens and is a good location to enjoy the soft white sands and the clear, turquoise waters of the warm Indian Ocean. These waters conceal a dream world where colorful coral gardens are home to an amazing diversity of reef denizens that are unusual and truly fascinating. When not sunbathing and taking lazy siestas on the seaside or beside the swimming pool of the resort, you can explore this oceanic realm by way of scuba diving and snorkeling forays as part of your AfricanMecca day tours. Back at the hotel, you can take massages at the spa or work off the delicious food at the fitness center. Dream of Zanzibar offers 157 rooms for like-minded deluxe travelers built in the Tanzanian-Swahili architectural style distinctive of the island. The rooms are grouped in sets of dual and single story villas, and you can choose from accommodation in four specifications. There are 104 Deluxe Rooms, 40 Junior Suites offering views of the ocean including the 10 Junior Suites that also have a Jacuzzi in the living area. The hotel also offers 3 Villas located on the beachfront with a private plunge pool in each. The rooms are decorated with rich elm wood and are furnished with a four-poster, king-sized Zanzibari bed or European style twin beds covered with diaphanous mosquito netting for your protection on your dream holiday. They also have supplies for making tea and coffee and include a minibar. You can spend your evenings on your own patio, sipping drinks and enjoying the sunsets over the ocean. The ensuite bathrooms come with a walk-in shower stall, bathtub and double basins.
The hotel has a collection of restaurants and bars where you can order different cuisines and cocktails. Visit the Cape to Venice, The Taj Mahal, The Andiamo Pizzeria, The Boma Restaurant, The Chop Stick, The Blue Vanilla, The Kokonuss Bar or Le Souk Bar on the pool. The ancient island of Zanzibar has many fascinating sights and experiences during your East African trip. During your leisure days at Dream of Zanzibar, go shopping in Stone Town, the capital where you can have a taste of haggling just like the Omani residents of yore. Buy gorgeous Swahili fabrics and bead jewelry, handcrafted knick-knacks, spices and so much more. You can also sightsee the many old structures of Stone Town that each marks a different era in the island's history. Tour Jozani with your AfricanMecca guide, a forest conservation area set in the floral heart of Zanzibar; here, you can watch the rare red colobus monkey in its natural habitat. This woodland also has many interesting species of flora, insects, amphibians and reptiles that you will love to take pictures of. The spice and fruit gardens of the island are yet another must-visit attraction site. Here, you can view the seasonings you see in your supermarkets growing in their raw, unprocessed form. Also, learn to identify the many unusual fruits by their strange names like fenesi, shoki shoki, durian, bungo and many more. Zanzibar has one more treat in store for you. Both, seasoned and novice fishermen can travel out to the designated deep sea sites off the coast to try to catch that many billfish that thrive here.

The Zanzibar Stone Town tour guide was superlative. He was outstanding and gave us undivided attention. We felt that was great value and to be escorted round the market place and slave stations was like walking in a living museum.

I booked my safari holiday through AfricanMecca. They were the most helpful company I have ever dealt with and I work within the travel industry. I had the most amazing time. The holiday went as clockwork with no hitches anywhere.

We have returned from our African adventure and would like to thank you very much for your part in making this such a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to time the Great Migration from the Serengeti, which was amazing.
Denise Paterson - Belmont, Australia
Ras Nungwi was a beautiful property, the pristine white beach not more than forty feet from our lovely room, the Indian Ocean sublime. Raza, it was the vacation of a lifetime, again, thanks so much.
