RYAN’S BAY HOTEL IN MWANZA BY LAKE VICTORIA
Navigation Tip - Go Directly To Prices, Reviews, Map, Photos, Video & Room Rate Guide For Ryan’s Bay Hotel
Located in the heart of Mwanza close to the shores of Lake Victoria, Ryan's Bay Hotel features 50 guest rooms and 4 service studios, as well as connecting rooms for large groups and families who are traveling with AfricanMecca. All of the rooms are large, comfortable and clean, furnished with cozy beds, sitting areas, separate work areas and full bathrooms, as well as private balconies with views of the second largest freshwater lake in the world and the largest in Africa. Other room amenities include air conditioning, flat screen television with satellite channels and telephones. Wireless internet services are available throughout the hotel property. If you would like to treat yourself during your relaxation tour of Lake Victoria, you may consider one of the two Presidential Suites for the additional amenities of a private Jacuzzi and lounge area, perfect for honeymooners and families. Outside you find lush beautiful gardens, perfect for morning walks and romantic sunset cocktails, as well as natural sun warmed swimming pool with a swim-up bar and barbeque areas. If you are traveling for business rather than a Tanzania lake and nature vacation, the hotel features a fully-equipped business center with fax, copier and some secretarial services, as well as service apartments for short and long-term rental. The serviced apartments are also an excellent choice for couples and families that plan to spend extended time at Lake Victoria – generally for more than 1-2 months. Surrounding by large windows, you enjoy even more breathtaking panoramas of Lake Victoria as you enjoy tasteful food in the restaurant. Start your day with a filling breakfast as the sun rises in the distance before setting off for some shopping and cultural tours in Mwanza. When your appetite overwhelms you, return to the hotel for a delicious burger at the hotel restaurant before spending a few hours lounging by the pool with a noble book. As the sun begins to set, order your favorite cocktail from the bar and find a secluded spot on the beach because the sunset at Lake Victoria should not be missed during your African scenic tour (read more on when is the best time to visit Mwanza by Lake Victoria in Tanzania). After dinner, meet new friends in the lounge and share stories of your Tanzanian experiences, or simply retire to your room for a bit of personal journaling before drifting off to sleep. From Ryan's Bay Hotel, you can head off to track the wildebeest migration in western Serengeti (season dependent) for a few nights – only 2-3 hours away from Mwanza by road, or adventurously flying over to the western part of the lake to revel a few nights in the incredible natural beauty of Rubondo Island National Park during your northern lake tours of Tanzania with AfricanMecca. The park activities at Rubondo will keep you busy with walking and boat safaris, fishing and bird watching. The majority of the park is dense jungle, and you may see bushbuck, elephant, giraffe, vervet monkey, spotted neck otters, hippo and many other creatures. Some predators are found within the park, such as pre-historic crocodile, genet cat, to name the most common carnivores. The most prominent animals, though, are avi-fauna, such as fish eagle, suni and African grey parrots, and fish species such as tilapia and Nile perch. Very uniquely, Rubondo also hosts chimpanzees, wild but reintroduced in its distinctive ecology.

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.

Dear Raza, Not a day has passed that we have not been overwhelmed by what we experienced, and by how fantastic our vacation was. It was truly magical. We saw the" Big Five", lion mating and the migration. It was the vacation of a lifetime.
