SEA CLIFF RESORT & SPA IN ZANZIBAR
Set out from Zanzibar’s capital, Stone Town and enjoy a leisurely 20-minute road transfer with AfricanMecca through coconut orchards, arriving at a coastal strip south of the fishing villages of Mangapwani and Fujoni, a distinct stretch of an uncharacteristic beach of Zanzibar that is only visible when the high tide recedes. To make up, there is a small patch of man-made beach on the upper coral rock grounds where sun loungers reside. Even as you arrive at your vacationing accommodation in western Zanzibar, the Sea Cliff Resort & Spa, you will be struck by the delightful ambience of the resort with its archways and white structures of the Arabian era blending seamlessly with the African building style of makuti thatch roofs. Lush tropical gardens abundant with flowers lend a pleasant touch to the setting for the resort’s 120 rooms located in two-story structures. You can choose from rooms in different specifications for the duration of your stay on tour in this section of Africa such as the 24 Garden Rooms that offer views of the lush grounds or the 80 Superior Rooms that face the ocean. The hotel also has a collection of 16 Deluxe Rooms with a Jacuzzi spa bath. All the rooms have their own patios or balconies furnished with wicker chairs and table, where you can spend many moments enjoying the tranquility (read more on when is the best time to go to Zanzibar). The rooms also include tea and coffee making supplies and a minibar. Stay comfortable with the ceiling fan and air conditioning while relaxing in your room or when watching your favorite TV shows on the LCD with satellite connection. You will be having your meals in one of the two restaurants, both of which are located beside the pools. The Mangapwani Restaurant offers you meals indoors under thatched roof or under the open skies with the infinity pool beside you while the Kobe Restaurant by the Kobe swimming pool. Order drinks at the Zanzi-Bar or the Beach Bar. Alternatively, you could enjoy a breezy walk along the jetty to access the Jetty Bar. Watch the delicate, quaint dhows sailing by, resplendent with their triangular sails forming the perfect adornment for the gold of the sun as it slips below the horizon. Sea Cliff Resort & Spa also has a 9 hole – 18 tees golf course that was designed by Peter Matkovich. During your leisure touring days, take off on an AfricanMecca day trip around Zanzibar to scuba dive and snorkel at Mnemba Atoll in the northeast near Matemwe exploring the marine realm of the coral gardens and their multi-hued residents. View with awe amazing creatures such as parrotfish, clownfish, zebrafish, turtles, eels, rays, seahorses and sea urchins to name a few. Or you could hire one of the fishing boats that take you out to designated deep sea sites for an afternoon of angling. Explore the many attractions of Stone Town such as the imposing architectural wonders of Zanzibar, each relating a tale of a different era of its flamboyant history. Or shop for mementos and souvenirs of your travel in Tanzania at the tiny dukas. Visit the Jozani Forest to view the red colobus monkey in its natural habitat and rich diversity of the island’s flora. Later, visit the spice and fruit plantations of Zanzibar to view the distinct seasonings in their natural, fresh form. You could also taste the incredible varieties of fruit such as shoki-shoki, durian, bungo and many more. Return to the resort for a relaxing massage at the spa, a perfect ending to a perfect day on your coastal holiday in Zanzibar.

The Zanzibar Stone Town tour guide was superlative. He was outstanding and gave us undivided attention. We felt that was great value and to be escorted round the market place and slave stations was like walking in a living museum.

I booked my safari holiday through AfricanMecca. They were the most helpful company I have ever dealt with and I work within the travel industry. I had the most amazing time. The holiday went as clockwork with no hitches anywhere.

We have returned from our African adventure and would like to thank you very much for your part in making this such a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to time the Great Migration from the Serengeti, which was amazing.
Denise Paterson - Belmont, Australia
Ras Nungwi was a beautiful property, the pristine white beach not more than forty feet from our lovely room, the Indian Ocean sublime. Raza, it was the vacation of a lifetime, again, thanks so much.
