WHERE TO STAY IN LAKE EYASI

The AfricanMecca Safaris Tier system works to assist its clients to provide an expectation of the level of services available. The tier you choose affects the exclusivity, service and food quality, location, guiding standards and other factors. For your authentic trip to Lake Eyasi, you may only choose from Tier 3 value accommodations – Tindiga Tented Camp and Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp, while Lake Eyasi Tented Camp, also a Tier 3 accommodation, is currently postponed to be built in the future.

There are no Tier 1 premier or Tier 2 deluxe accommodations in Lake Eyasi. Tindiga Tented Camp has 10 guest tents that are designed with a classical safari experience in mind, and the 7 guest tents at Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp have beautiful touches of native artwork.

At both of these lodgings, you have all of the basic furnishings and non-frill amenities that you need for a lake tour of northern Tanzania, such as comfy bed, mosquito netting, lighting, linens and towels, as well as a private veranda and full bathroom. While inside your tent, gentle breezes keep you cool as fans are not provided.

The food is palatable and options include standard bush fare, such as meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, salads, soup and much more. Vegetarian and other special dietary needs can be accommodated with prior notice. Tindiga gives you incredible views of the landscape while Kisima Ngeda has an admirable lake view, and also expanses of meadows and striking highlands.

EAST AFRICA SAFARI BOOKING TRIP IDEA FOR LAKE EYASI IN NORTHERN TANZANIA

When visiting Lake Eyasi (Great Rift Valley Lake), we recommend combining it with your Northern Tanzania safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti (wildebeest migration). End your trip with a Swahili cultural tour and beach holiday in Zanzibar.

You may optionally extend out to offbeat parks in Southern and Western Tanzania such as Nyerere (Selous), Ruaha or Katavi ending with a chimpanzee trekking safari at Gombe or Mahale by the relaxing Lake Tanganyika.
