DIANI SEA RESORT IN MOMBASA
Diani Sea Resort lies on Mombasa’s South Coast, along the dazzling Diani oceanfront. There is only a stretch of lawn shaded by palm trees standing between the accommodation and the white sands of Diani Beach. If you want to be close to the water during your beach vacation in East Africa, then this hotel is one budget option available but being German owned and pioneered, you may find at times guests are primarily from a single demographic region and also pensioners too. Also, expect non-frill facilities, some awaiting renewal with nominal attentive services considering 350+ guests can be accommodated here. This value resort has a total of 170 rooms, falling under three categories – Standard with garden views, Family Rooms, and Superior or Bahari Rooms that have pool or sea views. Amenities in all rooms include flat screen television and coffee or tea making facilities, as well as air conditioning, hairdryers, showers, mosquito nets and a balcony. If you choose a Superior Room, you will also have access to a mini bar. Family Rooms have cot space and can sleep up to four people, making them ideal for a household based seaside travel with AfricanMecca.Facilities at Diani Sea Resort include a small gym and massage treatment center and there is an outdoor pool with sun beds (renewed towels are provided) and a small waterslide. There is a gift shop for coastal Swahili and Kenyan souvenirs, and free Wi-Fi in the resort’s reception area. Where recreation is concerned, there is plenty to enjoy in-between overnight Kenya safaris to Masai Mara, Tsavo East and Shimba Hills or a wide-ranging coastal tour of Mombasa. You may engage in a full range of sporting activities, from squash, ping-pong and tennis to beach volleyball, golf at nearby Leisure Course and Mombasa deep-sea fishing excursion.Dining at the hotel is set at fixed times. In addition to standard breakfasts, lunches and dinners, you may opt for all-inclusive meal plan with select house-drinks. Smoking is not allowed within the enclosed spaces of the resort’s main restaurant, but there are demarcated smoking areas on the terrace, and the hotel offers shisha pipes to rent and several flavors of tobacco. The accommodation’s pool bar is open from mid-morning, and there is also the Maasai Bar at the restaurant that is open for live entertainment during some evenings. There are plenty of fun-things to do during your beach holiday at the Indian Ocean in Kenya with AfricanMecca. The colorful fish of the coral reefs and Dolphin spotting at Kisite Marine Park are worth exploring, and if you want to experience the old town on Mombasa Island, then ensure you include a visit to Fort Jesus Museum with dinner and dance cruise of Tamarind Dhow. Whether you want to explore the south coast in a glass-bottomed boat or you want to see elephants and other African wildlife at Shimba Hills National Reserve, there are many attractions within driving distance of Diani Sea Resort.

My daughter's and my trip that AfricanMecca arranged to South Coast Mombasa, Diani Reef Beach Resort was awesome. We laid on the beach quite a bit, but did manage to take in camel rides and also snorkelling.

Dear Raza, Just a note to let you know that my daughter and I had a wonderful time in Kenya. In, fact I enjoyed my time in Kenya so much that I changed my plans to spend a few days in London and spent an extra two days in Mombasa.
