SANDIES COCONUT VILLAGE IN MALINDI
Malindi is non-mainstream location for a seashore vacation in East Africa and the Sandies Coconut Village is a decent place to spend it. A value accommodation, this tranquil resort is constructed using Swahili architecture of thatched roofs with wooden beams as support structure. You can relax in their open-air lounge and restaurant or visit the indoor seating area and restaurant for a romantic ambience of delicate filigree carvings and textured walls. Also, spend time by the pool in your lounge chair amidst rustling palms or sunbathe on the pure white sands by the beach with the expansive, picturesque beauty of the Indian Ocean before you. The Sandies Coconut Village is an all-inclusive accommodation, and you can expect basic amenities, adequate food and approachable service here (read more on when is the best time to visit Malindi in Kenya). They have 68 rooms for guests on a coastal trip in Kenya, in various specifications depending on whether they face the pool or the ocean. Each of them has an exclusive balcony or patio, complete with day beds, and come with king size beds covered with mosquito netting. Your room is kept comfortable with air-conditioning and ceiling fans, and includes a small fridge and a safe deposit box. You can make phone calls through the hotel operator, and Wi-Fi facilities are available in particular areas of the hotel. En-suite bathrooms come with showers and you will get fresh beach towels every day. The Sandies Coconut Village has 33 Superior Pool View Rooms that are arranged in two-story cottages located by the pool. But if you would prefer ocean facing rooms for your beach holiday in Malindi, you could choose from the 12 Superior Beach Front Rooms. These rooms are also part of two-story cottages with balconies or patios. The 17 Deluxe Garden Rooms are located in distinct double story cottages and guests staying in them can use the Galana swimming pool exclusively. AfricanMecca guests can also request any of the 6 ocean-view rooms in the same category bookable as Deluxe Sea View Rooms. Have your meals at one of three in-house restaurants. The Frangipane Restaurant serves buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has global cuisine including Italian fare. Vegetarian options are also available, and beverages such as soft drinks, juices, local beer and coffee and tea are included. Your meals at the Ibiscus Pizzeria Restaurant and Malindi Beach A-la Carte Restaurant are chargeable. The Ibiscus has salads and pizzas on the menu while you can have seafood with a selection of wines at the Malindi Beach. The hotel also has two bars; one is located at the pool while the other is a beach outlet. Visit the MUVA spa for a pampering session or shop at the Spherique Boutique. The Sandies Coconut Village has an exciting range of activities on your beach tour by the Indian Ocean. Play games like beach volleyball, beach soccer and table tennis or try your hand at archery. You could also go sailing and windsurfing, dive or snorkel at the marine park, book a catamaran or canoe ride. When making your reservations through AfricanMecca Safaris for your Indian Ocean beach tour, do not forget to add your historic, cultural and wilderness tour of Malindi old town, Gedi Ruins and Arabuko Sokoke Forest Reserve. We also recommend a road safari to Tsavo East National Park with overnight stays at Satao Camp or even fly to Masai Mara to view the wildebeest migration (season dependent).
