Zanzibar Day Tours
Zanzibar Stone Town Tour

The three and a half-hour tour begins with a visit to Zanzibar's colorful market, alive with the buzz of locals bartering fresh vegetables, and baskets full of tropical fruit, among the heady smell of herbs and spices.  Having sampled some wild passion fruit, red bananas and Jackfruit (amongst many other exotic fruits), the tour continues on to the site of the Anglican cathedral, its foundations built on the very spot where slaves were once sold and traded, before the abolishment of slavery (by decree of the Sultan of Zanzibar) in 1873.  Signifying an important time in Zanzibar, the cathedral's high alters stands on the exact site of the whipping post in the slave market.  Afterwards, visit Zanzibar Museum where David Livingstone's first impression of the island can be read through his written journals and potent letter back home. From there, visit Tippu Tip House, Africa House (the former British Club), the Old Fort, Peoples Garden, House of Wonders and the old Khoja Shia Itnashari Dispensary, full of intrigue from years gone by.  The tour ends on a high note with a stroll through the narrow, winding streets of Old Stone Town.

Spice Tours
Guaranteed to awaken your senses, you will visit a spice plantation where you will have the opportunity to pick, smell and savor fruits and spices, packets of which you have probably seen on the supermarket shelf back home but not recognized before. Commencing at the Maruhubi Palace Ruins via the house of Africa's greatest explorer Dr. Livingstone, the journey will take you north of town towards the Kidichi Persian Baths.  From there, you will continue to the rural areas were local farmers live and produce some of the world's most exotic fruits and spices for export: Cloves, star fruit, bulls heart, tangerine trees, lemon grass, mangosteen and lipstick trees to mention but a few. Prison (Changuu) Island Tour

Earning its name as a former prison for slaves and a quarantine station for Zanzibar and the mainland. Nowadays the island gives you the chance to escape for some peace and quiet.  A hundred-year-old Giant Tortoises act as unlikely vigilantes over the island, and you can't help but wonder what tales they would tell, if only they could talk!  Approximately one kilometer long and a ¼ kilometer wide the island offers some of the most pristine swimming and snorkeling conditions in crystal clear waters.
