Culinary and Dining Experience At Amaan Bungalows Located In The Nungwi Beach Area (Northern Section), Zanzibar Island
• They are three restaurants on the property and they have the following dining characteristics: • Fat Fish Restaurant: Located next door to the Fish King Restaurant, the Fat Fish offers great food, a fully stocked bar and regular entertainment. This bar is one of the favorite hang outs in Nungwi, and with a great sound system, bar games, fabulous cocktails and a spectacular view over the sea you can see why! They serve food well into the evening, presenting guests with a selection of fresh seafood, pizzas and daily specials. The open air seating area is a firm favorite for sundowners due to spectacular Nungwi's location on the west side of the island. Every week the dance floor (which is made of sand straight from the beach below you!) fills up to the sounds of a local band or DJ, and during the day, the satellite TV can often be found showing films, sports or music. Whether you want to relax into one of the comfy sofas and watch the world go by or you want to party the night away, the Fat Fish promises you a great time. • Lion Fish Restaurant: This is the smallest and most intimate of the three restaurants, and is positioned just two minutes walk away from the reception area which serves seafood, burgers and a large pizza selection.
The cozy atmosphere makes it a great place for romantic dinners. With delicate lighting, the gentle sound of the waves on the shore and the moon reflecting on the water as a backdrop to your meal, a truly amorous atmosphere is created. This restaurant is perfect for those that want a slightly quieter dining experience. It is open for both lunch and dinner, and the high quality of food is only matched by the high quality of the service. • Fish King Restaurant: This is Amaans's largest dining area located directly opposite the reception area. The seating area is arranged amid potted trees, directly over the ocean on a raised pier. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here offering daily specialties, a large variety of seafood and various local dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and whether you are here in the morning to watch the rising sun or here in the evening with a canopy of stars above you, excellent service and good food are guaranteed.
