Even though Speke’s is located within the Mara North wilderness bordering Olare Motorogi, it does not have activity traversal rights to do its game drives or walks in the private conservancy; therefore, it is utilized as a strategic base for visiting the main reserve and its varied sites like the Talek and Mara Rivers, Paradise Plains, Rhino Ridge and Musiara Marsh. Only a week’s safari walk is available from Speke’s to Jan’s Camp.
