Ø The vehicles operated on safari are assigned to your guides for the life of the vehicles; this enables the Professional Guiders to know their vehicles like the back of their hand, enabling them to sense the operations and workings of their vehicle.
Ø All vehicle house a fire extinguisher and first aid kits.
• Safari & Tour Vehicle Types: The vehicles used on the safari and tour experience in Tanzania are Land Cruisers, Land Rovers, Range Rovers and Toyota Hiaces. All these vehicles are purchased new and are custom designed and built locally for Tanzania road terrains from companies like D.T Dobie Tanzania.
• Vehicle Engineering: All vehicles have been engineered with up-rated suspension and underbelly protection to ensure the best and comfortable ride.
• Vehicle Comfort: The most comfortable and often used vehicles on Safaris and tours are the Toyota Hiaces, which are perfect for long programs lasting more than 3 days; the comfortable ride greatly reduces pressure on the body especially for families with elderly and children. Take a safari or tour on these vehicles and you will know. There is also more room on these vehicles for movement so if an animal you want to take a picture of is at the rear of the vehicle you can easily walk to the back when the hatch is open. The most pleasurable vehicle to undertake a safari and off-road tours are in Land Cruisers, which exemplify a tradition and history in wilderness experience: The dual fuel tanks, shape of the vehicle, suspension and handling of the vehicles underscores a philosophy of a rugged African outback.
Setting the Record Straight: A few companies have often criticized the Toyota Hiace as not being a Safari or Tour vehicle seen on some of the major National Parks.
