Masai Mara Serena Safari For Calvary Church California
After spending two weeks on an evangelical mission trip in the Congo, you start looking forward to a little R&R. Our mission team of 16 people soon discovered that R&R is short for “AfricanMecca” and their tour to the Masai Mara. We were treated like kings and queens for our three day visit to the Masai Mara, which by the way was excellent and exceeded all of our expectations.
The attached picture will reflect the highlight for our mission team: After an early morning safari drive that was FILLED with wildlife, we then took a turn towards the Mara river which we anticipated a look at hippos and crocodiles. Near the brush at the river bank we were greeted by a Masai Indian who escorted our group into the deeper bush. As we rounded a corner, there was another Masai Indian who handed us each hot towels to wash our hands. This was unusual, but very, very pleasant.
We continued to walk even deeper into the woods when all of a sudden….WOW! Eloquence Extraordinaire!!! The finest dining tables with top chefs and servants awaited our arrival to serve us breakfast on the banks of the Mara river with hippos hippoing, and crocs crocing just yards away! The food was delightful with every taste and our eyes were constantly entertained as you strained not to blink in case you would miss something. The Mara Serena Lodge out did themselves for our ultimate pleasure that morning. Turns out, the Mara Serena Lodge out did themselves every moment during our visit. We would give them an A+++++++++!!!!!!!!
