GUIDE ON ENTIM MARA CAMP IN KENYA

Navigation Tip - Go Directly To Prices, Reviews, Map, Photos, Video & Room Rate Guide For Entim Mara Camp

For your modest bush travel in Masai Mara, we recommend Entim Mara Camp located inside in the heart of the reserve. Situated at the meeting point of the Talek River and Mara River, the camp offers a secluded setting, fitting location for activities, palatable food and adequate service.

Each of the 10 non-frill tents has the necessary furnishings that you need for a comfortable East African safari overnight stay, such as beds constructed of local wood, storage chest, nightstands, bedside lamps and curtains over the windows (read more on where else to stay in Masai Mara with AfricanMecca).

Nature’s beauty is brought indoors with decorative fabrics and accents in chocolate brown, rich gold and bronze, burnt red, sage green, hints of white and many other contrasting colors. The en-suite bathroom features a wooden vanity with a single vessel sink, mirror, flush toilet, shower and towel racks. The windows of your tent are covered with mesh to allow in natural light and also keep insects out of your private space.

Your private verandah has safari-style chairs and a small table where you can enjoy some private game viewing and moments of complete relaxation. Your guest tent is set up to give you views of the river together with supplemented sounds of wildlife traveling to and fro, including hippos, elephants and other herbivores, as well as lions, hyenas and some other predators.

You slumber peacefully nestled in the riverine woodlands along the eventful river until the rising sun signals the beginning of your AfricanMecca active-adventure tour in Masai Mara National Reserve. As you dress, your mind is filled with images of driving across the vast plains in pursuit of the Big 5 and many other resident animals.

Your local Maasai guide warmly greets you as you climb aboard the safari vehicle. He has already planned your day using his extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna, as well as his intriguing natural ability to find the best vantage points. Should your photographic safari vacation in Kenya occur from July to October, your guide will also ensure you a chance to see the massive herds of wildebeests and zebras of the Great Migration that arrive from Serengeti.

If you prefer, your game drive may be extended to include a picnic meal at a charming spot in the reserve. Otherwise, you return to Entim Mara Camp for a good breakfast of freshly baked goods, eggs, sausages and other choices. Afterward, you may wander into the lounge to find a book in the small library, return to your tent for a quick shower and nap or update your holiday journal to record your personal story of Africa.

After lunch, you interact with other guests, discuss your next safari outing trip or gaze out into the vast wilderness. Kenyan tea is obliged in the afternoon before your second game drive which may conclude with sundowners in the bush or at camp. Your appetite is satisfied with home-cooked selections at dinner that are complemented with South African wines, and then you retire for the night.
