Elsa's Kopje is a soft landing in the wild: when you step off the plane you are greeted by a warm, gentle breeze, carrying the scent of the open plains and bush which surrounds you. Elsa's Kopje is almost invisible to the eye as you approach the hill. It blends in to the rocky crags and bush, built close to the site of George Adamson's original camp where George and Joy Adamson released Elsa the lioness into the wild, the story made famous in the film Born Free.

Meru National Park is an untamed expanse, for many years the best kept secret amongst Kenya safari travelers passionate about beauty, peace and true wilderness.
