My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and fell in love with the place. The staff could not have been more friendly and the food is out of this world. It is situated in an area where there are so many points of interest it is hard to fit them all in. We will be returning here in April 04 to continue to explore and renew friendships. |

I went there to fish during a weeks stay in 1996. I did 2 and a half days fishing and caught a 100kg Black Marlin on my first day, on my second day 16 yellowfin tuna aggregating 328 kgs, 2 wahoo 17 kgs, 1 Dorado and tagged and realsed a sailfish. On my last half day I caught a 200 kg Black Marlin. I don't think fishing can get any better than that. The resort was fabulous. I am returning next November for two weeks. |

Food was splendid, however I found the beach and the pools far too busy. The noise and crowds made it hard for me to relax. I am contemplating whether to return, as I did so enjoy my stay, however the number of other guests on the beach made it hard to appreciate the area to its full potential. |

I was only in the ocean sports hotel a small number of times, mostly after a days fishing. It was the ideal place to go, specially after fishing, with its decor and open bar where we could sit and chat about our day over a few beers while looking out at the beautiful views. The service ath the bar was very friendly and helpful and the food was served quickly and there was plenty of it. I dont know what its like to stay in but I will be making it my business to visit the ocean sports hotel for a few beers with my friends when I return to watamu very shortly. |

I went to Ocean Sports as a child and it holds some of my most treasured memories, such as Deep Sea Fishing, being fascinated with the tide pools, swimming in the salt water swimming pool, great food,and of course - riding Muhammed, the pepsi drinking camel. I heard he is still around! |

Having visited TurtleBay for the first time earlier this year upon recomendation i can only say "wow" it is a beautiful resort, brilliant staff, great entertainment, a truely wonderfull experience especially the Safari a must for anyone visiting Kenya! We were well looked after nothing was too much trouble,the choice of food was excellent along with an interesting choice of cocktails!Can,t wait to go back to see everyone again a definate 10/10. |

My family spent three wonderful weeks at the Turtle Bay Beach Club during August 2005. The hotel is situated on a beautiful sandy beach in close proximity to Ocean Sports and Hemmingways hotel on the edge of the Marine Park so if deep-sea fishing snorkelling or other water activities are your cup-of-tea, then the TBBC is definitely the place for you. The surroundings are idyllic and the hotel itself is beautifully appointed and the most family friendly establishment I have ever frequented. The children are so busy with their own activities (headed by a very enthusiastic kids club/funbase staff) by day and into the night that they don't bother anyone (especially us parents!). They even gather the stragglers at every opportunity to make sure no-one gets left out. The Turtle Bay Beach Club is the only place I have ever been where children are actually treated like "real" people and therein lies the secret of the success of this beautiful resort hotel. We had a thoroughly enjoyable action-packed holiday and I would have no hesitation in recommending this destination to travellers. I will definitely be returning with my family to the Turtle Bay Beach Club in 2006. |

My self and my wife have been to Turtle bay twice and are booking again for 2007. This is without doubt the best holiday we have ever had. The hotel is wonderful and all the staff are first class. There are loads of things for you to do, or like us the second time you can do nothing. The safari booked with was just wonderfull, our daughter spotted some lion cubs, so was called simba spotter for the rest of the holiday. I would say if you are thinking of going here, book now. remember to take something for the locals as they don't have a great deal, by our standards anyway. They are always happy though. You will be safe going out. If you spend a little time with the beach sellers, they will tend to leave you alone the rest of the time. Don't be surprised to come back with a lot less clothing, you can swap most of it for presents. I nearly didn't have any shoes left, untill my wife reminded me that the pair i had on was the last. The water is so clear and the deep sea fishing is first class, if a little expensive. |

Turtle Bay Beach Club is simply the best holiday that we as a family have ever been on. The staff and management are extremely thorough in all aspects of their jobs and go out of their way to make sure that everything is perfect on your holiday. The hotel is situated in paradise on a beautiful white sandy beach, the pool is kept immaculately clean as is every part of the hotel and the staff work very hard all day and night to keep it that way. The food is very good, and again the chefs will try to please whatever taste you may have. For the kids there is a brilliant kids club where the most patient supervisors will look after a variety of different aged children keeping them entertained all day.Also the funbase will keep the adults entertained with their beach games etc.We could say a lot more in praise of the hotel but there just is not the space to write it all down, the best way is to go and see for yourself. |

Anyone who is deciding to go here you must go! It is the bast hotel i have ever been to! no complaints, food great, pools great, nightlife great, beach great trips great. Also if you go out of the hotel and turn right a few yards on your left is a very small hairdressing place. I had my hair braided there! so lovely! cried when i had to return! |

I visited Watamu a year ago and stayed at Turtle Bay. The deal was great and the services were wonderfull. It was affordable and an ecouragement to a Kenyan touring their own country, Thanks to Turtle for being so accomodating and offering the best services ever. |

Has been over ten years since visiting this hotel, and am thinking of returning. Looking at the website, there have been many changes, however owing to the standard from ten years ago, I would not be surprised to find that this hotel is fit for royalty. The staff are second to none and are very much family orientated. There are no limits to what they are willing to try and do for the guests. Word of warning however, dont leave clothing on the balconies. The monkeys will be away with them. |

I stayed at the Turtle Bay Beach Club and i loved it i'm only 19 but it gave me an outsite to life in Africa especially the tour of the school and i will definately stay there again it was just too good to describe (and i mean that). the safaris on offer were amazing - just like the lion king king and basically it blew my mind!! the people were friendly i just cant recommend it enough, simple as. |

Having never flown before I was very reluctant to fly to Kenya. My daughter who has been to Turtle Bay so many times said I had to pluck up the courage and go. She booked the holiday for three weeks in October 1999. My grandson offered to hold my hand (shame on me).
I went and had the most fantastic time with so many wonderful people at the resort you just had to enjoy yourself. My husband and I went back again in October 2002 (just the two of us this time) and had the most enjoyable time.
We are saving to go back again as the staff and people in Kenya are wonderful.
As for flying when you find a wondeful place then just go and do it. |
