Tsavo East |
|
|
Tsavo East is an amazingly scenic spot with a few covering of animals. When I last visited, it was very dry but the park was still beautifully maintained with good roads and excellent animal viewing. Top spot and well worth the visit. |

My wife and I spent 2 days on safari in Tsavo, part of our honeymoon.
We were lucky to see a variety of animals including all but the leopards (the lion, zebra and giraffe from a distance).
Fantastic scenery, Fantastic weather and a decent driver of our "open top camper van".
We shared the van with four other girls/ladies from all walks of life and from different continents. The mood in the van was a light hearted affair and if one person spotted an animal they were sure to let others know, there was no arguing over pictures etc...
The night was spent in a ready put up tent, big can't describe it. Upon opening the tent we found a wooden four poster bed as well as a shower and a toilet.
The nights stay in a tent was worthwhile even if we did hear a lion at 02.00, we were assured that the masi warriors on sentry duty were quite capable of dealing with any situation that may arise. Learning of the Masi traditions and way of life was amazing and put into perspective our own petty squabbles about nothing. |

I spent a glorious handful of days in Tsavo National Park. The earth the color of fire, the elephants roaming freely in the most amazing herds, the breathtaking landscape...all made Tsavo an incredible experience. Tsavo is a place that combines the peace of Kenya with description-defying scenery. I would go back in a heartbeat. It is truly an Eden. |

Myself & family visited Tsavo East Game Park on 8th January 2006, we were thrilled with what we saw,it was amazing!!the wildlife, including the lions which we were apparently very fortunate to see and the colour of that soil, so bright! What a great day we had. |

Avoid it if you can! We stayed in some fantastic location with variable standards, but all were clean with freindly staff.When you go to kenya expect the the standard to be a little lower as you are miles from anywhere and after all its the animals you want to see and the location. But this place stunk on baboon urine, the rooms were horride and the bathroom unuseable. As a teacher I have stayed in many 2* hotels, but nowhere as bad as this! I have made a formal complait to stop good companies using this lodge. If it were in England it would be closed down due to hygene reglations. |
