HAVE VISITED SEVERAL TIMES FOR TEA AND FOR ONE OVER NIGHT. ROOMS WERE COMFORTABLE AND FIRE PLACE FELT WONDERFUL. IT'S REALLY COOL IN THE MORNINGS. BEAUTIFUL GARDENS FULL OF BIRDS, FRIENDLY HOSTESSES AND HOSTS. HAVE BEEN TO KENYA 8 TIMES AND TRY TO VISIT EACH TIME AS I LOVE THE LODGE AND THE ENTIRE AREA. BY THE WAY, THE MEALS WERE EXCELLENT. |

I stayed at Thompson Falls Lodge for a the entire month of July 2001. It was great. You can walk down to the falls and there are rock croppings where you can sit and enjoy the waterfalls, veer a little to your left on the trail and you can see an amazing sunset. At around three every afternoon, while sitting on the rocks, you can enjoy the playful antics of the lemurs in the trees. If you walk down to the base of the waterfall - be prepared for some good stairmaster training to get back up. In the morning, just be careful of the Baboons coming up for breakfast.
The food at Thompson Falls Lodge is amazing. It was always fresh, and absolutely delicious. The staff were amazingly friendly. There was no cable and/or Internet here so this is a great place to sit back and relax and really soak in God's amazing world. I would give it three thumbs up, but I only have two hands. |

I was there two years ago and it was a wonderful experience. The lodge is comfortable and the staff is very friendly. The beautifully landscaped grounds and the falls make for a very pleasant surroundings. The only downside was the barking of dogs nearby at night. Apparently the monkeys set them off at night. |
