Sarova Mara Camp
I stayed here back in 1999 and have since recommended it to others. This place was great. Luxury, great service and a jumping off point for amazing day safaris. I would love to go back in the future.

Sarova Mara Camp
I stayed over only one night a few years ago and enjoyed the stay immensely. There were 4 of us in a tent and it was just like a room with a zippered door between the living quarters and the bathroom. The bar was a nice place to have a couple of drinks at night and the food was great, with quite a variety. We came in on an afternoon from Nairobi, did an afternoon game safari and then had another in the morning on the day of our departure. I am looking into returning with a friend for a stay of at least 2 full days during the migration of the wildebeest. Sometime in late July or early August.

Sarova Mara Camp
This was our first stopover on our safari. This really was an oasis in the heart of what appared to be wilderness. The tented camp (under cover) was exceptionally well appointed and the overall layout of the camp is brilliant. All meals and accommodations were 5 star all the way with friendly staff only too willing to assist at every turn. What a brilliant place!

Sarova Mara Camp
This is Poorti from Mumbai, India. I visited Kenya in February, 2004 and spent 2 months in the beautiful country. I also went to Masai Mara and was accommodated in Sarova Mara Hotel. The Hotel is just too good. It's right in the middle of the Masai Mara reserve and has lavish tents. I never thought that I would get such high quality hospitality even in the forest. All the staff was very cooperative. I enjoyed the food and the place itself. The most exciting thing was the Masai Dance, which I loved watching. I would love to visit your beautiful country and ofcourse would love to stay at the Sarova Mara Hotel in Mara. Thnx & regards, Poorti

This is a wonderfull place with an excellent staff. We visit this camp twice a year for about 3 weeks each and they still capable to impress us every time. You need to experience this yourselves.

Sarova Mara Camp
I was quite pleased with this lodge. The tent was quite comfortable, and the landscaping beautiful. I found the employees very gracious. The food was very good. I took the flight to Mfangano Island, and that was a terrific experience. I would go back in a heartbeat. The young man who played the guitar and sang was so good, and that added a whole new dimension. We had a couple on our trip celebrating a wedding anniversary, and the cooks were so kind and made a cake.

Sarova Mara Camp
Visited the camp during May 25-28, 2004. Maintenance of camp is very good and the restaurant serving multi course cuisine is excellent too. We were pleasantly surprised to find so many Indian dish on offer. A couple of staff did seem to have an attitude though, but it was not really worth complaining about. THe location, just inside the park, is great and affords a quick getaway. Only wish the road from Nairobi to Masai Mara was better.

Sarova Mara Tented Camp
Sarova Mara Tented Camp was the first stop on our seven day safari to the Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru. It was very nice to be greeted with fresh, moist washclothes with a fresh lemon scent as you exit your safari vehicle. Plus a Maasai warrior hands you the towel! Upon arrival, we met Robert, our reception supervisor (I think that was his title), who was fabulous! Unfortunately, the camp was overbooked and our tents were not available. My little grou (3 of us) are pretty flexible and easy going, so we agreed to stay in the one "house" they have on site. I think it was actually part of staff housing. It had several clean bedrooms, a clean/working bathroom, TV, living room and small kitchen. The next night we were "comped" with two Club Tents, which are AMAZING! Really, they are so gorgeous, you never want to leave. I never made it into a standard tent to see what the difference was, but my cousin said they were nice too. But the Club Tent was truly wonderful. The bathroom was wonderful. They had the BEST natural shampoo I have ever used. I know that's a silly comment, but it's true. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The Sarova Mara grounds were beautiful. The pool was inviting and well maintained. They had a small putting/mini golf type place, which many people enjoyed while I was there. The food was delicious. Buffet style meals, with a pasta bar and a meat station, plus lots of desserts! The dining room and lounge are beautiful and have brilliant warm and friendly staff. You can pay for internet if you NEED to get online while on vacation, although it's not always "up". There are several activities that you can pay for, such as nature walks, hot air ballooning, and a Maasai dinner. Our tour company did two game drives per day, or a really long morning/afternoon drive. The game there is amazing! We saw lions, zebra, leopard, cheetah, water buffolo, tons of birds, tons of gazelles/antelopes, elephants, giraffe, and about a million wildebeests! Staying that Sarova Mara was fabulous and I highly reommend it to anyone contemplating a safari on the Masai Mara. If you can afford the Club Tent - go for it, you will not be disappointed. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Plus, look for Robert, cause he was delightful!
