i stayed there for one night whilst on safari.it was a superb place to stay and wished i could have stayed longer,we had rhino and leopard there in the evening showing well.the food was super and the rooms very nice,a great place to look over the whole tsavo park with a great view point. |

went on safari in oct 2009, stayed at this lodge and if you want to see a leopard 10 yds away , this is the place to go !staff so friendly ! if you go to tsavo west ask to stay here ! also my daughter left her ipod in the room and it was returned to us when we returned to england , just brilliant |

Terrible lodge, very dirty and dangerous. Slimy bat mat caused a bad fall and ants running up and down the bathroom wall. Staff feeding the wildlife which rather defeats the object of a safari. may as well go to the zoo. Out of 4 lodges stayed in this was a nightmare. dont go! |

I stayed here with my family for one night as part of a safari trip. This lodge was good. Rooms basic, but clean and comfortable, spacious and with a balcony. Staff were very friendly, the buffet style food was good and everything kept clean. The bar and restaurant area overlooked the watering holes, so you could eat and drink and still see the animals. Fantastic views from this lodge. Here in Tsavo West it is much greener and hillier than Tsavo East and cooler. We were here on Christmas Day, 2009, and I couldn't think of a better way to spend Christmas Day! We saw all the animals apart from the rhino, which apparently appeared at the lodge, but we had gone on an early morning game drive! But, hey, we did see two cheetahs hunting together and a leopard (not the one that comes to the lodge to eat meat in the evening), which I think is a little manufactured! I prefer this side of the national park to that of the east as that is very flat and dry, but it was good to see both different landscapes. I would definitely sat here again. |

My wife and I visited Tsavo West after Amboseli in 1999.The trip from Amboseli to Tsavo took us through Mzima springs and the Shetani volcanic area.We saw many kinds of game including several types of gazelle,water buffalo,giraffe,elephants,and many varieties of birds.
The trip was fascinating and we hope to rerurn. |
