I have visited ASL on 5 occasions and every time found it to be the most wonderfully relaxing place to spend a holiday. There is always a choice of menu, plenty of helpful staff and the rooms are kept beautifully clean at all times. I have also spent holidays at some of the more expensive resorts such as the Diani Grand Reef but the standard at ASL was much higher. I now live in Australia and getting to Kenya is not as easy as from UK so I am missing my holidays by the beautiful Indian Ocean.

I had a fantastic time staff were very helpfull room very good kept very clean every day. The only downside was the beach did not like being pounced on by people trying to sell me things felt very intimidated so much so I did not go onto the beach after the first time.

Jambo jambo Jina langu ni Saskia. It was really fantastic to be there. The lodge was good, the facility's were very good. We've been there from 29-2-2004 till 5-3-2004 after a 9 days safari. All the people who work there, are very friendly. I hope i can come back soon. Asante sana!!

We had one of the most pleasant holidays at the African Sea Lodge. Plenty of well prepared food and nice lodges. We stayed for five days, with four children. Everybody enjoyed the stay very much and would like to come back sometime.

Stayed at this hotel quite a few years ago back in 1994. Loved this hotel especially the rondavel rooms, just have to watch the little monkeys taking your fruit from your room if you leave the patio doors open. Food was excellent, the best I have had anywhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for you. Grounds well kept and always plenty of sunbeds. Would love to go back again with my son maybe in a year or so. Recomend safari which includes stay at Salt Lick.

Hallo ,hier ist Familie Müller:sind soeben aus unseren Keniaurlaub zurück und müssen uns auf diesem Wege unbedingt noch mal zu Wort melden: haben bisher noch nie soviel Fürsorge und Service erlebt, sind super herzlich umsorgt worden.auch der Garten,Pool und gesamte Anlage des Hotels ist sehr toll.Ebenso ein großes Lob dem Küchenpersonal. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft.Aber auch dem anderen Personal Kellner,Poolmann,Zimmersevice,Gärtner usw. unseres großes DANKESCHÖN!!! Jamboo !!! Fm.O.müller

Es waren die schönsten Urlaube die je verbracht habe,hervorzuheben ist die Gastfreundlichkeit von Mama Katrin(Hotelmanagerin)und ihre tolle Crew, die sich den ganzen Tag um einen sorgen, so fühlt man sich wie ein Mitglied in ihrer grossen Familie. I stayed at bamburi beach for 3 days in January and there is NOTHING not one thing i did'nt like about the place. They had tons of great food well worth the all inclusive deal, good entertainment and activities, its right on the beach, secluded yet near town, my room was awesome i loved the decor, they had 2 pools for those afraid to dive into the ocean, the staff were awesome its one of those places you cant describe to someone, they have to go, and thats exactly what i'm doing im going back with 3 friends this august coz i just could'nt explain it to them!!! I assure you, you'll love it.

I had a pleasant stay on an all inclusive package. The facilties were quit good. The staff very helpfull. The rooms were kept resonably clean and tody throughout the two weeks we stayed. The maneger was very helpful and the security gaurds even allowed me to keep the hire car under cover so that the heat did not affect the temperature inside the car in the strong sunlight. The all inclusive dinning facility although adequate left a little to be desired. Several of the residents suffered from minor stomach aches and we could only suggest that it might have been the food. Having said that the food in the other hotel resterants was excellent. I have no real complaints for my stay over the easter period and I am thinking of booking again for the Christmas period. Thank you and look forward to spending some more holidays at bamburi.

Have recentlky returned from a 2 week holiday there. It was lovely. The food was good, the staff were friendly and polite. The location gorgeous. The only pain was when you go onto the beach the locals harrass you so to speak asking you to view their wares and buy etc etc. Once they get used to you saying no again and again and again they sort of leave you alone. You need to get drinking water in order to brush your teeth for rinsing as the water is salty there. Animation team are great and there is always something to do and if you do not want to do it they do not badger you at all. Entertainment in the night is near enough the same form with some show lasting about 30 mins or more in the form of either dancers, magic show, acrobats, crab racing, karate shows, masaai dancers etc followed by a disco which lasts about 1.5 hours. Bar closes at 11.30pm and if you are all inclusive you pay after this time in the bar inside the hotel. Very nice hotel though I would go back there again.

I´ve been several times during the last 12 years in the Bamburi Beach Hotel. Every time it was an exellent stay in the hotel for relaxing, swimming, diving and only for having fun. If I´ll come back to Kenya I´stay again in the Bamburi Beach Hotel, because I feel wvery, very well there. Also the employees of the Hotel are professional and very friendly. We stayed here from 29th August 2005 to 13 September 2005. We think that the hotel is excellent value in all departments and the standard of service is second to none. There are three restaurants all of which are excellent. In the main restaurant the menu is changed every night on a fortnightly rota and there is always something for everyone, whatever their tastes. Our bedroom was very comfortable with lots of space and a veranda with table and chairs. The bed linen was changed daily as were the towels. The mattresses were even turned every third day. We hadsome problems with unreliable air conditioning but the maintenance men came up to the room immediately there was any trouble. The only thing that we felt could be improved was the swimming pool. Although spotlessly clean it could do with being deeper - the maximum depth anywhere was 1.8 metres. We would have preferred it to be 2.5 - 3.0 in places. However, a small price to pay for a wonderful holiday otherwise.
