I went to mara simba in 1998 and i still have so many good memories of my holiday. that was the best holiday i have ever been on! the resort was very clean and the staff were very friendly. i loved the open air eating area it was very beautiful especially the big open fire so you can sit there in the night and relax. i recommend anyone to go and visit mara simba as its very enjoyable. |

Married on the beach in Kenya, we went on to spend our honeymoon at the Mara Simba Lodge & could not have hoped or dreamed of a more romantic setting to start our lives together.
The lodge is of the highest standard, even the 1am - 4am blackouts added somthing special (done for conservastion reasons - but take a torch), one of the most unspoilt & wildest places on earth & yet completly safe.
We will visit this place again in the future & would recommend it to any body who wants to holiday in a location of the world that makes you feel free & that you should have had to save for years to afford !! |

I enjoyed my stay at the Lodge immensely. Everyone was so friendly, from the porters to the cooks. The food was excellent and the service fantastic. It was a pleasant surprise when the staff performed for us at our send off dinner, poolside.
The ambience is just as you would expect in Kenya. To sit barside and see hippos, crocs, & monkeys is a traveller's dream.
I want to particularly say "thank you" to the singer that sang at the bar in the evenings during my stay. I'm not sure what his name is. I was there from Feb 10-13th. I entered the bar while he was singing a John Denver song, "Almost Heaven, West Virginia". I'm from West Virginia, USA. It was particularly touching to hear a song that has such meaning for me in a country thousands of miles away. A country that I had only dreamed of visiting!
His music and talent will stay with me always!

Exellent accomadation ! we managed with the help of good guides to find "the big five". I sometimes wonder how on earth they manage to get good service, friendly staff, good food right every time !
We are getting prepared to return this year.

Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Food prep was very good and very tasty. Grounds were very clean and secure. Overall, the stay was perfect. Even monkeys sharing the porch were fun. Next time, the balloon ride! |
