Was lucky enough to stay here on my visit in February 2004 - what a fantastic place to stay, the staff are very attentive, the rooms are luxurious and the views are breathtaking. We were lucky enough to see a Cheetah and her cubs on one of our drives, along with numerous amounts of other game. Am lucky enough to be returning again in September (Mara Safari Club), so if it is half as good as the Serena I'll be extremely happy. |

This is a wonderful place. The staff are helpful and attentive. The safari will not disappoint and the Hippo breakfast is delightful. |

My mother, husband and sons visited the lodge early this year 1/2005. The food was great, the customer service was exceptional. This was paradise in the middle of nowhere.
The tour guide George, Reuben(kitchen staff) and the kitchen director Sam are unforgettable.
The food is something we are still marvelling about.
I hope to return as soon as my little boys are a little older to appreciate this wonderful place.
My boys were 20 months and almost 4 years old when we visited the Serena Masai Mara lodge and we still had fun.
We will soon return.

We just returned from a experience of a lifetime. Everything we expected was exceed by this lodge and their staff. We were thrilled by the views from the lodge, including our room. I really enjoyed the guitarist by the open fire after dark, while looking at the african sky. We had the best guide named John. We will return, tell all we come in contact with and ask for John to take us on safari again. Thanks for the memories! |

Serena Lodges have to be some of the best. The Mara Serena is no exception. Beautiful accommodation, fabulous views, superb food, cooling pool, wonderful safaris and excellent customer care. The place to go. |

Wonderful lodge, most prestigous location, best services, food and tours are well organised. I ate Ugali and mboga which to me was a pleasant food that I missed for years.
The masai design which is all over from the rooms, restraurant etc, is so beautiful in such a way it treated me from stress. Lovely colours, lovely creatures and lovely employees who are very honest, charming and respected. I am sure in June this year I am going to appear again with my family. I was there in Jan 23rd to 25th 2006. |

It was beautiful there. The landscaping was incredible. The Hyrex were so cute. The food was good and the service was the best. I loved it there. |

We were exhausted after two weeks in Uganda and Kenya refugee zones. What an amazing relief to drive up to the gorgeous lodge at Mara Serena. The welcome from the staff and Maasai tribesmen felt authentic, and we (16 of us) relaxed for a few minutes in the classy lobby area.
The view cannot be described in words. Something about looking across the plains and seeing the herds moving by was surreal. So movie-like but we knew that we were actually there seeing them!
It was the best food we had anywhere on the trip, with plenty for everyone in the buffet-style layout. Deserts are to die for too.
Our two days were punctuated by a rare sighting of a rhino (the guide protected the baby from lions by running the jeep at them) and a lovely afternoon lounging by the pool. Thank you for a fine ending to a memorable trip. |

This was some time ago, back in 1990, but staying at Mara Serena was a life-changing experience for a kid like I was back then.
We stayed there for quite a while (a little over a week, which is a lot longer than most people stay), and just loved it. The facilities were great, but really the shining gem was that the staff back then had been absolutely wonderful. We got to know a lot of them (we kept in touch with one waiter, named Peter, for many years afterwards), and when we left, they baked us a cake as a farewell present and everything. We never wanted for anything.
If the Mara Serena Lodge of today is even half of what it was 20 years ago, I would still recommend it wholeheartedly. You simply cannot beat the location.
There are so many wonders to see in the Masai Mara. So many that even in a full lifetime you could not see it all, and every day you would find something new and amazing, some small treasure of Africa that no one else will ever see. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth. |
