Mara Safari Club
I am a travel agent in Phoenix,AZ and have personally stayed in this location. I found the staff very polite. The food wonderful, atmosphere perfect. Thy hippo's were just outside our tented cabin in the Mara River just a few yards away. Our personal game driver showed us where the elusive Rhino was. I would highly recommend this destination all though it was a long drive into the camp and the roads were not clearly marked as typical in Africa.

We stayed at the Mara Safari Club on a recent holiday at the Pinewood Village on Galu Beach, Mombasa. We loved every minute of the drives & our guide Shaaban was brilliant & his english was very good. The food was excellent. The only disappointing part of our stay was when my sister & I went for a swim the pool was closed as they were working on it. It was open the day before and there were no notices put up that we could see to say the pool would be closed the following day. The shop, although small had lots of lovely items for sale as presents. I just did not take enough money with me!!

Many years ago a friend and I travelled to Kenya and spent a few nights at the Safari Club. It was exquisite. You also made safari arrangements for us to the Masai Mara, which included accommodations and a vehicle/driver. The driver's name was David Wonyoki and we kept in touch with him for several years. Unfortunately both my friend (Claudia Nelson) and I have moved as I suspect David has and we lost touch. I'm hoping that you might have his address or some way I can contact him?

We had a one night safari stay with you with our 4 children and ourselves in December. The setting was beautiful, the tents luxurious and the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff was excellent. Our game driver had an excellent knowledge of the animals and area and made the trip feel like we were looked after as individuals. we would highly recommend you.

An excellent lodge in a beautiful location - highly recommended - They took great care with my 81 yr old mother and made the week one for her to remember (and yes, she went on safari at least twice a day!)

When I first saw the tents, i must admit, i thought 'oh no, this will be awful!'. I was amazed!! This Lodge was beautiful, the tents were clean, the beds were so very comfortable, and the hot chocolate brought to my tent with the wake up call for the morning game drive was just divine. I had a brilliant game driver 'Stephen' who found the Big 5 - the leopard walked right out in front of us - Beautiful!! The soothing grunts of the Hippos in the river below sent me to sleep, and the hot water bottle in the bed at night rounded my stay up perfectly. I would recommend this lodge to anybody that is going on safari in the Masai Mara. PERFECT!

Our October 2006 safari in Kenya took us to several tented camps and resorts but none could compare to the Mara Safari Club. Our tented accommodations were luxurious and the meals outstanding. The staff could not be more helpful and the game drives deserve a 5* rating. Of course, it is well known that the Masai Mara has an incredible array of wildlife. During our game drives we were constantly surrounded by thousands of wildebeast, herds of zebra, majestic elephants, and the incredibly graceful giraffe at every turn. Our experience with prides of lions hunting and socializing can not be described. For anyone considering a safari in East Africa/Kenya I urge you to give the Mara Safari Club in the Masai Mara an opportunity to share their wildlife knowledge and incredible hospitality with you. You won't regret that decision.

Masai Mara Safari Club provided excellent service. The food was wonderful. The staff were friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. The accommodations were superb. The game drives were exciting and the drivers were extremely knowledgable, friendly, and accommodating. The Mara is a place of beautiful vistas and teeming with extrodinary wildlife. I was very impressed with the club, had the time of my life, and would highly reccommend it to anyone seeking a first-class safari experience.

We visited the Mara Safari Club in in May 2006 staying 2 nights. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 chlidren aged 7 - 14 years. It was without doubt a fantastic holiday experience. The tents were perched above the Mara river and we had a 15 feet long crocodile immediately beneath us most of our stay. The game drives produced something spectacular on each including a cheetah sat on our landcruiser bonnet, a mob of angry local Masai hunting a lion they suspected had eaten some of their stock and a short walking safari allowing us to get almost within touching of 3 grazing rhino. The accommodation, food and service at the Mara Safari Club was first class and I would not hesitate to recommend the place to anyone.

Outstanding Value. From the moment we arrived the Organisation, the Staff and the Service was "First Class". Our driver Sammy went out of his way to provide us with views of all the wildlife in the Mara. It was our first visit to Kenya and our first Safari and the thought of living in a Tent was daunting but our fears vanished immediately. We will return and stay again at the Mara Safari Club. Thankyou

Absolutely brilliant, I have never been treated so well in my life, I felt like royalty, the people who work there made my stay perfect, and the wildlife was better then I ever expected. I would definately return for a second visit and suggest that this is the place to go.

Delightfully located overlooking the river, the tents were luxurious and large, with everything we needed. Service was excellent; wake-up call was a butler carrying coffee and biscuits outside the tent. Under remodeling construction when we were there in June, 2007, so we didn't get to appreciate all the amenities of the dining room and lobby, but it should be fabulous when completed.
