Driftwood Hotel
We've been to the Driftwood quite a few times while we stayed at a private home for 3 months in the Sabaki River area. The location of the hotel is in its most beautiful enviornment. The beach with beautiful white virgin sands and a turquiose ocean what a sight! The pool and the surrounding landscaping is a stunning sight! We will continue to visit the Flamborynt Driftwood Hotel. We will Definately recommend this hotel to friends as have for Oct, 2006.ps and the food is great!

Eden Roc Hotel
If you want a true African feel then this is the hotel for you. I stay there twice a year and have been for the past 4 years. The staff is excellent and you truly receive a taste of Africa. Rooms are comfortable, especially the suites, and they are really inexpensive.

Eden Rock Hotel, Malindi, Kenya
In 1960 whilst serving on HMS Dieppe I visited Eden Rock Hotel at Malindi, which then, so far as I recall, was a one story building. Being in the Medical Branch RN I visited the local Medical Officer there who entertainede us to lunch before we went to Mombassa and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Gedi Ruins
Haunting, atmospheric and unmissable. These ruins have a quality I have only ever found before in Salamis (N.Cyprus). There is a pervading sense of history that is almost tangible - sometimes something will appear fleetingly in the corner of your eye but has vanished in a moment. I also very much reccomend the English cemetary in Malindi.

My Kenyan husband & I got married in the Gedi Ruins on 31 December 2005 and a more beautiful place I have never seen. I would definately recommend visting the ruins and the Kenyan people are so friendly and helpful.

Tropical Village
We have been here several times and we like it very much, the hotel is super especially the superior rooms, there is a lot organised and you have a super place to relax. the swimming pool is clean and big enough to swim laps in.The beach is clean and wide with nice white sand the water is in the first part shallow. the people are very friendly and helpfull.there are shops there also and for your money they have their own exchange office. so in short we had a great time at tropical village and we wil soon come back.

Tropical Village
My partner and i were there during December 2006. The food was good although we did just arrive here straight from a safari were the food choice was slightly better. But thats not taking away anything from the food here. It was good with a varied selection. You are found a table when you first go there for your first meal and it remains yours for the duration of your stay. Note: As the resort and area is popular with Italians, they usually get the better tables! But all of them are more than acceptable. The rooms are good and have air con but you have to take the power key out when you leave the room so you cant leave it on. The room maids clean every day but they didnt refresh the soaps and shower gels, so take your own. Towels though are changed daily if required. Staff are friendly all through the resort. Good entertainment at night away from the rooms so you wont be disturbed. We saw the musical Chigago there which we thought would be 'iffy' but it was very well done. Daily entertainment throughout the day and its not 'in your face' but the music when they turn it up for dance lessons etc can be annoying if you are around the pool.

It is a superb hotel with great food, large rooms, friendly staff and fantastic shows. We were there after a 7 day safari with 2 children. We were very relaxed when we left after a 10 day stay.
